Today's card is Shien's Squire, a creepy deepy monkey dude who somehow has something to do with the Sams. Squire is a 1-star earth warrior with negligible stats. He lets you drop him from your hand whenever your Six Sam battles, and that Sam won't be destroyed by battle that turn. Kind of like a much suckier, archtype themed Battle Fader. I guess this could be used to keep your Shi-en alive for a turn, but if something's threatening to destroy Shi-en in battle, it's a good bet that it'll be able to do it again next turn (y'know, unless you have Dark Hole or something...). On the plus side, Squire is a tuner, so you can do some shenanigans with the 4-star Sams to make Shi-en, though Kageki + Kagemusha is much better / reliable. Over all, Squire's not horrible, but Sams have a lot of support that's lot's better than our sad little monkey friend.

Art: Reminds me of one of my teammates...
Fun Fact: Almost as useless than the monkeys in Pokemon!

Shien's Squire is a nice piece of support for Six Samurai, which few people seem to be using. He's a level 1 EARTH Warrior tuner with 300 ATK and 700 DEF. The stats are downright useless, but being a Warrior means he can be used for the summon of Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En. He can also be summoned using Reinforce Truth or searched with Reinforcement of the Army.

While he's in your hand, he can be discarded to make any Six Samurai not be destroyed by battle during this turn. That can be useful for keeping a Shi En around, using Zanji to attack larger monsters, or simply to keep a weaker Samurai in play for the turn. Since he has Shien in his name, he can be summoned using Gateway of the Six's effect.

Generally Kagemusha of the Six Samurai is the better way to summon Shi En, but this little guy has a few extra tricks that Kagemusha doesn't. He can be a great addition to any Samurai deck.
