You can only activate this card if there is at least 1 face-up "Chu-Ske the Mouse Fighter", "Monk Fighter", or "Master Monk" on your side of the field. Destroy the monster(s) that battle with these monsters on your side of the field this turn, at the end of each Damage Step.

Type - Magic
Card Number - TLM-EN042

3 ... average. 5 is the highest rating.

Kaminote Blow

Okay, so you get to suicide your weaker monsters into stronger ones to take out the stronger ones. We already tried this -- it was called "After Genocide" (or "After the Struggle", for the politically correct).

No one would play that then, and no one's going to play this now. Even in a Monk deck.

Best case scenario, you have 3 of the legal monsters, this, and a Waboku, and use this to destroy 3 opponent's cards. That's a 5-card combo...and anyone paying attention to my reviews knows what I have to say about those.

1/5 all.

Tebezu
Kaminote Blow

a decent effect but not enough to warrant play. If your forgetting, traps seem to be the new ice-cream of the format. Players running 10-11 in their decks (without regard to Royal Decree).

On that note, today's COTD can pay for itself, but odds are your monster is going to die to a smashing ground, zaborg, sakuretsu armor, tt, mirror force, widespread ruin, etc.

1/5

If you run this card, use royal decree. (BUT IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT LEGENDARY JUJITSU MASTER AND HYPER HAMMERHEAD ARE OVERALL BETTER)

Ryoga
Kaminote Blow:
This card may lead you to believe that kaminote means something like suicide in Japanese. You would be wrong.

Nicely enough, this is one of those cards that does its job worse than an already existing card (After the Struggle, which is fairly bad anyway). So, your little Monks can suicide and take down your opponent's army?
Why am I not tempted? OK, combined with Lone Wolf, it works better, but that requires far too much set-up (Smashing Ground works better).

Advanced: 1/5

Share and enjoy,
Ryoga

Yugiman
Kaminote Blow

Today we look at Kaminote Blow from TLM set. Yep, we're still going on with the stupid Monk support cards. And we have 2 more days of it >_<;;

Basically its crap, destroys monsters that it battles against in damage step. Could be effective with Master Monk, since it can attack twice. But whatever. Its a Normal spell, so you can use it once unless your running 3 per deck. Try a different decktype imo. These cards keep getting worse and worse.

Ratings:
Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 2/5 in Monk decks(1.5 anywhere else).

DeathJester
Kaminote Blow

This card is also a great pick in Lost Millennium draft. That set consisted of humongous DEF walls and you needed a way to destroy them. Kaminote Blow works with Chu-Ske the Mouse Fighter, Monk Fighter, or Master Monk. You can use this to blow through Spirit Reapers, larger creatures, and recruiters.

Last Word: Would I suggest this in tournament play? It’s good removal for the deck’s theme, so I would say “Yeh”. Just remember to activate it BEFORE the Battle Phase starts.

Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 3/5
