ExMinion OfDarkness
Kuriboh

The side-deck card of champions.

Basically, this > Stein, but the odds of you drawing this after you side it in < the odds of your opponent hitting Stein first.

Kuriboh's a natural -1 as well, you lose a card, they lose out on one attack's worth of damage, but as one card's worth around 2,000 LP, blocking a 4,000-8,000 LP shot is well worth the -1.

Not much more needs to be said here -- only in the side deck, and only bring it in when you smell Stein, Chimeratech, or another attacking one turn kill.

5/5 sided and 1/5 mained, to average at 3/5.

Kuriboh

Kuriboh is another trademark card of mine, but you all know that already don’t ya? Or at least you would if you’ve seen me post on the forums…

I don’t think we’ve reviewed the original Kuriboh since WAY back when it was 1st released, IN METAL RAIDERS !!! That’s just insanity.

Kuriboh’s been seeing a lot of play lately as a quick side - in counter to Stein OTK’s, which is fair enough., as asides from I guess Magic Cylinder or Ring of Destruction, I can’t really think of a better counter .

The best thing about Kuriboh that I’ve found from my experience with the card is that there’s just no way of countering it, or really seeing it coming. Essentially, with a Kuriboh in your hand, you pretty much can guarantee that you’ll be safe this turn. For me, that’s a pretty worthwhile reason to stick one in, at least in the side deck. He makes a great search for Sangan too.

I think the main use for Kuriboh is in a fiend deck. The lp shield is nice, and the grave filling potential is gorgeous as well . Use Kuriboh, he’s sweet .

Traditional : 2.5/5 Points for being Dark.
Advanced : 3.5/5

Art ; 4/5 Everyone loves Kuriboh
MPS ; 5/5 Maltos Classic

Ryoga
Kuriboh

Just imagine the time when men were reall men, women were real women, and small, furry creatures from Yu-Gi-Oh were real small furry creatures from Yu-Gi-Oh.

Kuriboh is being mentioned quite frequently nowadays as a side deck choice against OTKs. This is pretty much his only use. Yes, Kuriboh sits in the lofty heights of being one of the most easily activated monster effects, but stopping one attack isn't really worth the discard (or cruelty to small, furry creatures. Graveyards aren't friendly places).

Unless of course that attack would end the game. This is where Kuriboh lives; between you and Cyber End Dragon.

Traditonal: 2/5
Advanced: 2/5
Side Decks: 4.5/5

Share and enjoy,
Ryoga

Kuriboh

If we had the Flute of Summoning Kuriboh then I'd give this card a 5/5. But we don't and thus...

I really do not like this monster in the main or side deck. Cyber Stein has better side deck targets to utilize. King Tiger, Mind Crush, Magic Drain, Wobaku, E-Hero Wildheart, Chiron the Mage and Dust Tornado to hit their LP fast, etc. These cards are better suited for multiple other draws, other deck types, and will help you the most in the long run of whatever event your attending. Kuriboh just sucks, I've seen it win games, but it is the epiphany of a bad duelist. Each card needs to be chosen for its benefit in a diverse metagame. Kuriboh is limited to one deck (currently). Dedicated Cyber Stein OTK is not the issue even, it is random stein. How I love being a trend setter:P

1/5

limited minus 1 with no true use. If you run this evaluate your side deck...Better cards are out there.

Kuriboh

Basic Summary: Now yesterday we did one of the best Quick Plays ever now we're reviewing one of the best sidedeck material cards ever and nowadays it seen a lot of play against Cyber-Stein OTK. Now its merely good sidedeck material to use against Cyber-Stein its not really main deck material ( horrible stats ? ) just plain and simple unless you want to run " Kuriboh Control " with lots of fluff balls like Winged Kuriboh or old fashion Kuriboh.... please this was just a joke but it would a hilarious to see in real life or maybe the next SJC winning deck lol. Now I like Kuriboh for being soo versatile to be the last defence if your Monsters, Spells, and Traps fail plus Kuriboh combined with Waboku can greatly help counter OTKs.

Conclusion: If you have trouble with Cyber-Stein in your meta ( like who isn't having that problem ) I highly suggest sidedecking Kuriboh or at least Waboku.

Traditional Format > 1/5: Not really that effective in my opinion.

Advance Format > 5/5: ( Sidedeck )

Artwork > 2/5: I like winking Winged Kuriboh better since it well........winks ~.^
