ExMinion OfDarkness
Metamorphosis

This card's starting to see play again -- despite only being allowed 1 of it (instead of the 3 we SHOULD be playing...)

Many cards make this one easier to use. Cyber Dragon = instant Balter. Zaborg = Balter after having killed a monster through his effect. Treeborn Frog = Thousand-Eyes Restrict. Magician of Faiths = Thousand-Eyes Restrict. Chaos Sorcerer = remove something, then bring out Senshi so that Mirror Force can't be used.

It IS a -1 on its own, and a situational card without the massive trip Goats/trip Meta/trip TER we had at last Nationals, but some decks should still be running it.

3.5/5

Dark Paladin
Today we look at Metamorphosis. We recently reviewed this card in October, after it got Restricted, and my views aren't that different, so I copied my review from then, slightly modified.

Morph decks were also tremendously hurt by this. Thousand Eye Restrict, and Metamorphosis, are both restricted. However, Magician of Faith is at two now, it was at one when I reviewed this before.

Morph, however ruined the deck may be, can still function. With an extra MoF you can probably use the card more than once, but it all comes down to how many Morphable Fusions you run.

Metamorphosis is still good though, whether you summon Balter via Cyber Dragon or Thousand Eye Restrict via Sheep Token or Magician of Faith (or whatever else you so choose).

Ratings:

Traditional: 2.5/5 Much harder to utilize

Advanced: 3.75/5 Enjoy!

Art: 4/5 Really cool

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Ryoga
Metamorphosis:
A tutor, in a manner of speaking.

The power of Morph is not to be underestimated. When designing Fusions, the general idea was that it's so hard to get the blighters out, they might as well give you something useful. Morph makes accessing this pool of power that little bit easier.

This is primarily a card for control decks, as they are more likely to have the Lv. 5-8 monsters on the field with which Morph is most efficient. They also benefit most from cards like TER, Dark Baltar, and Ryu Senshi. The TER/Goat lock deck has been greatly weakened by the restriction of Morph, but that doesn't mean it is any less powerful.

Traditional: 3.5/5
Advanced: 4/5

Share and enjoy,

Dark Maltos
Metamorphosis

Even though its been restricted, and the deck type it created all but abolished, Metamorphosis still sees play quite often which is great.

In the good old days you could morph pretty much anything into a very powerful beastie, (either TER or Balter) and wreak some mayhem.

Nowadays, you can use it to make Neo bubble man….how times have changed huh?

Traditional : 3/5
Advanced 3/5

Art : 4/5 Gruesome
MPS : 4/5
