My friend and I walked around earlier and tried to do some trading, he got a Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon for x-mas so he was looking for a good trade. We saw some good cards but neither of us made any trades, we found our names on the tables and we were sitting right next to each other. I knew that if we both won we would have to play each other next round. This make me kinda edgy because we were up all night making him a better deck, and half the cards in his deck were mine, so he had a good one. The whole process of signing up, getting seated, and having our decks checked started at 8, and we finally started at 9:30. I was seated across from a boy who looked about 11 years old.

Round One

Me VS Tim

I am very sorry because I cannot remember this duel at all. Oh well, onto round two!

WIN: (7700-0) (8000-0)

After this duel I went and bought boosters and I got a Magician of Faith that I really needed, go me! =)

Round Two

Me VS My friend

I didn’t really want to duel him because what’s the point in dueling someone you can duel almost any time, you go to these things to have fun and duel new and different people, not knock your friends out of the tournament. The first duel he got a great hand in the beginning, and he ended up getting a Barrel Dragon and a Summoned Skull out by turn 4, I managed to stall for about 4 turns with only 300 LP left, but he was too much for me and he won the first duel. The second duel was all mine, I got Hayabusa Knight out along with a Summoned Skull with Megamorph, I won no prob. The third and final duel started by us quickly eliminating each other’s monsters, neither of us wanted to give the other a big lead. Eventually he attacked his way into my Cyber Jar, losing his Barrel Dragon, and I drew monster reborn and stole his Barrel Dragon, winning the duel.

WIN: (0-6500) (4200-0) (5000-0)

After our duel I watched some other duel and they used Invader of the Throne, and he swapped his Invader with his opponent’s Dark Magician, and I told them that you just take their monster, like a permanent change of heart, but everyone got riled up so I just dropped it. FYI you just TAKE the monster you want when you play Invader, there is NO SWAPPING what-so-ever!

Third Round

Me VS A.J.

This guy looked like he knew what he was doing, so I played carefully in the beginning. On the second turn I used Raigeki to clear his field and I attacked with a Hayabusa Knight with a Malevolent Nuzzler and Megamorph and some other monster and I took him down to 800 Life Points. The next turn he put a monster in defense and I drew tribute to the doomed and played it on his man-eater bug, I won on the third turn. The next duel should have been mine on like the fifth turn, but I had played Messenger of Peace because I had no monsters, and then when I got some good monsters out I was going to choose not to pay the 100 LP and destroy Messenger of Peace, but he complained to the judge, and I tried to tell the judge that I could do that, and he said no, then I told them I had personally e-mailed Upperdeck and asked them if paying the LP was optional, this is the response I got "It's optional. If you do not pay the life points, the card is destroyed." So I just let it go, even though the judge was wrong, and waited until I drew Mystical Space Typhoon, then I wasted him away with my Barrel Dragon!

Fourth Round

Me VS T.J. (A.J.’s little brother)

When I sat down to the duel he was just a little kid, so I’m thinking "Oh, just a little kid, easy win, I’m going to the Semi’s!" Boy was I wrong! He whooped me so bad in the first duel, and even worse in the second. I thought I had it won in the second duel when I had out a Hayabusa with M. Nuzzler and a Barrel Dragon, but he flipped over Mirror Force. So he won fair and square, oh well. He had a strange strategy, he played ALL of his Magic/Trap’s on the field, he like never had a card in his hand, so my Forceful Sentry and Delinquent Duo were useless.

After my last duel I was looking for someone with a Mirror Force, and this dude had one but he didn’t want to trade, he wanted to duel for it. If he won he got my Raigeki, and if I won I would get his Mirror Force. He won the first duel…uh oh. I won the second duel no prob. Then in the third duel he tried to cheat like 10 times, and he ended up losing anyway! I mean if you’re gonna cheat do it right. Then he wouldn’t give me the Mirror Force, DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING! Stupid loser, I mean if I had lost I would of given him my card, stupid loser. I took his Mystical Elf he left on the table and left with my friend, I tore it in half and tossed it in the garbage and kept the gold card protector. People like him make me mad, that stupid no-good loser. If he’s there next time I’m gonna take what’s mine, and when someone gets him in trouble for it, or just pops him in the jaw, I’m just gonna sit there and laugh at him, stupid no-good lying cheating loser.

Props:

Me trading my Toon Summoned Skull (cool card but worthless to me cuz no Toon World) for a Forceful Sentry

Me trading my extra Serpent Night Dragon, Catapult Turtle, and Red Eyes (from the tin) for 2 Heavy Storms

Me getting a Magician on Faith in a booster

Me being 8-3 at tournaments

To all the people that read my last report and sent me helpful advice, and by all means please give me an e-mail and tell me what you think, I am always open to tips, strategies, or help on improving my deck

To not having any adults participate in the tournament for once

Slops:

To the judges for not knowing the freakin’ rules

To the stupid no-good cheating lying loser for not giving me his Mirror Force

To losing in the fourth round, again

To having to leave just as T.J. was going to trade me his extra Jinzo

Oh yeah here’s my deck, I put it in the end cuz reading through a person’s deck in the beginning is just down right boring!

Monsters:

1 Witch of the Black Forest

2 Hayabusa Knight

2 Magician of Faith (I got a mask of Darkness, I’ll put it in when I get Mirror Force, but what should I take out?)

2 Summoned Skull

2 Kuriboh (this is the most underrated card I think, I might take them out when I get Mirror Force)

1 La Jinn

1 Cyber Jar

2 Wall of Illusion

2 7 Colored Fish

2 Sangan

1 Man Eater Bug (should I take out a Harpie’s Brother or another card to put more of these in?)

1 Barrel Dragon

2 Harpie’s Brother (I want to replace these with either La Jinn or Mechanical Chaser (Ha! I wish, I’ve never even seen a Mech. Chaser in real life)

Magic:

1 Raigeki

1 Megamorph

1 Monster Reborn

2 Malevolent Nuzzlers (I want to replace these with Axe of Despair)

1 Mystical Space Typhoon (I finally got 2 heavy storm so should I take this out?)

1 Dark Hole

1 Tribute to the Doomed (should I take this out cuz I have Raigeki? Or should I replace it with a fissure or two?)

1 Pot of Greed

1 Change of Heart (I need a Snatch Steal too)

1 Card Destruction

1 The Forceful Sentry

2 Heavy Storm

1 Delinquent Duo (should I take this out?)

Traps:

1 Magic Jammer (I have a 7 tools but I took it out b/c I got 2 heavy storm, should I put it back in?)

1 Michizure (should I replace this with another trap hole?)

1 Waboku (I bought a Mirror Force on e-bay when I got home so I’m replacing this with it whenever it arrives)

2 Trap hole

1 Horn of Heaven (or maybe should I replace this with another trap hole?)
