Looking at old Decks: Chimratech OTK by Ryan

Chimeratech OTK was formerly one of the strongest decks around. However, with the limiting of Cyber Dragon, many players considered the deck dead. In my personal opinion, the release of Gold Sarcophagus, Jinzo, and Jinzo - Returner, three powerful Machine support cards will help bring this deck back to top tier. Another thing to consider is the new release of Tuner monsters. I'm talking about the strongest Tuner monster there is, Plaguespreader Zombie. He can stack Cyber Dragon back on top of your deck, which lets you use him again.

However, in this age, all decks also need a strong backup plan. For example, Tele-DAD could win with Synchros or Dark Armed Dragon. Lightsworn wins mostly with JD, but Celestia control is also good. My deck's backup plan is the powerful Summoner of Illusions, a little-known Common overshadowed by Cyber Stein. Read on for the decklist and a rationale of card choices.

I have tested this deck extensively, and it has performed fairly well against the typical top tiers, with its weaknesses being Lightsworn (minor) and Gladiator Beasts (major.)

Already from the deck, you can see a lot of consistency. I run the maximum number of a lot of cards in here. Now I'm going to go over the most interesting cards.

THE CARDS THAT MATTER:

Dark Grepher:
You can discard 1 Level 5 or higher DARK monster to Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can discard 1 DARK monster to send 1 DARK monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

The famous Dark Grepher is a star in this deck. He mills out Necro Gardnas for defense, and Jinzo Returners for a quick offense. He also mills the most important card- Plaguespreader Zombie. When Plague is milled, when Cydra is drawn, stack Cydra so you can play Future Fusion. Making Goyo Guardian or Stardust Dragon will help you stall until your Future Fusion works.

Summoner of Illusions:
FLIP: Offer on your side of the field as a Tribute (excluding this monster). Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster Card from your fusion Deck. The Fusion Monster is destroyed at the end of the turn this card is activated.
800/900
3 stars

This is definitely one of the stars of this deck. You set him and protect him with Threatening Roar or Necro Gardna. Afterwards, by flipping him face-up, you can bring out Cyber Twin Dragon to win the game, Gatling Dragon to clear the field, or Ryu Senshi/Dark Balter the Terrible to seal victory. Gatling Dragon destroys 3 cards depending on coin flips. Cyber Twin Dragon is a 2600 double attacker. Cyber End Dragon is a 4000 trampler. Ryu Senshi negates Traps for 1000. Dark Balter negates Spells for 1000. He's incredibly versatile, and gives you a very nice toolbox. If Thousand-Eyes Restrict were to come off the list, it would be even better. However, let's just talk about it right now. It can win you the game entirely on its own, and most opponents will expect a set Dekoichi from a Machine deck. If you already have Future/DaD, you might as well fetch him so he can make Ryu Senshi.

Jinzo - Returner:
This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Jinzo" from your Graveyard. Destroy it during your End Phase.
600/1400
3 stars

Yes, it does go off with Future Fusion, but make sure to put the Jinzos in ther Graveyard first. It's effect occurs immediately as soon as you put it in the Graveyard. The Jinzos can be used to help win the game, used as Synchro food, Tributed, or Book of Moon'd. This is another game winning card.

Prometheus, the King of Shadows:
When this card is Summoned, remove any number of DARK monsters in your Graveyard. This card gains attack equal to the number of DARK monsters removed x400 until the End Phase.
1400/1000
4 stars

This card is basically your backup Overload Fusion. Also helps out with Return from the Different Dimension plays. Most of the time, you want to bait destruction with him though, but I've won games with him before.

THE WINNING COMBO:

Chimratech Overdragon:
''Cyber Dragon'' + 1 or more Machine-Type monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summoned. when this card is is Fusion Summoned, send all cards on your sid of the field to the Graveyard except this card. The original ATK and DEF of this card become thte number of Fusion Material MOnsters you used for the Fusion Summon of tis card x 800 points. This card can attack as many of your opponent's monsters each turn as the number of the Fusion Material Monsters you used for the Fusion Summon of this card.

Future Fusion:
Send, from your Deck to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Fusion Monster Card, and select that 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. Special Summon the selected Fusion Monster dusring you 2nd Standby Phse after this card's activation. (This Sepcail Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) When tis card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

Overload Fusion:
Remove from play, on your side of the Field or Graveyard, monsters listed as the Fusion-materials of a DARK Machine-Type Fusion monster and Special Summon it. The Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.

The Chimeratech combo. For people new to the game, you play Future Fusion dump a bunch of DARKs (in here, you can even dump Jinzos from a first line of offense.) Then, instead of waiting 2 turns, you play Overload Fusion to get your Chimreatech then and there. Then you proceed to win the game.

Hope you guys have fun with this deck, and I'll be back with more articles.
