The Immortal of Thunder Exploit - KillAWatt1705

First off, this is my first time posting a tip, and I really don't know if this same one has been posted else where, but I thought I'd do it anyway as a way of saying thanks for all the other useful tips I've read. Anyways, enough blabbering, here it goes.

I've been working on building a LP booster deck, and I came across a card that I've always skimmed by thinking it was so useless there was no point in even considering it in my deck. However the card's effect just kept pounding away at the back of my head, the numbers were just too big to ignore, but for those who don't know, the effect is as follows:

"FLIP: Increase your Life Points by 3000 points. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you lose 5000 Life Points."

I was determined to find away to "exploit" this card, and after much strenuous thinking, I found two ways.

STRATEGY 1

Cards Needed:

 - The Immortal of Thunder (TIoT for short)

 - Penguin Soldier

 - Swords of Revealing Light OR Nightmares Steel Cage (Both optional, but preferred)

 - Ultimate Offering (Again, optional, but preferred)

The basics are very simple, just set down Penguin Soldier, then on the next turn set down TIoT. Flip TIoT, and gain your well-deserved 3000 LP, then flip Penguin Solider, which allows you to return up to two monster cards on the field to the owner's hand, return TIoT and Penguin Soldier to your hand, then repeat the process if need be. As I said this is only the basic skeleton, you can brush it up with other cards like Ultimate Offering, to speed up the process, and Swords of Revealing Light/Nightmares Steel Cage for added safety.

STRATEGY 2

Cards Needed:

 - The Immortal of Thunder (TIoT for short)

 - Mystic Box

This is my favourite of the two strategies. It's far more simple, and deals some considerable damage to your opponent at the same time. First let me explain Mystic Box's effect, it is as follows:

"Select 1 monster on each side of the field. Destroy the selected opponent's monster and shift control of your selected monster to your opponent."

I'm sure you can see where this is going, this where TIoT becomes a truly powerful card. You set TIoT, then flip summon it during the next turn, after you have gained your 3000 LP, use Mystic Box, choose which monster to destroy on your opponents side of the field, and shift control of IToT to your opponent. Then take any monster card with an attack of 1500 or more and destroy TIoT, due to the card's effect your opponent will lose 5000 LP.

As you can see IToT is no longer a useless card, I would personally say it's one of the best, use this strategy twice and you've won the duel. Hopefully you guys will find this tip useful and use it wisely.

If you've spotted any errors within my strategy, please let me know. My email is ahmed_sharif1212@hotmail.com

Happy Dueling,

KillAWatt1705
