 Anti-Meta Monarchs by Zachary T. (Zach95030)

Well I love monarchs and I never really found a truly competitive monarch deck and never really liked them but after realizing that monarchs main strength is that they are the opposite of basically all meta decks, non-special summonses, which lead my deck to become what I call an Anti-Meta Monarch. A deck that has the upper hand against meta decks as well as still quite superior to anti-metas that I have faced with.

Anti-Meta Monarchs
Total: 41 Cards
Monsters: (23) {24 if one would like to run Cyber Dragon in the deck as well}
Caius the Shadow Monarch (3)
Raiza the Storm Monarch (1)
Zaborg the Thunder Monarch (2)
Prime Material Dragon (2)
Chaos Sorcerer (1)
Gravekeeper's Spy (3)
Marshmallon (1)
Morphing Jar (1)
Breaker the Magical Warrior (1)
Gorz the Emissary of Darkness (1)
Cyber Valley (2)
D.D. Warrior Lady (1)
Krebons (2)
Sangan (1)
Snipe Hunter (1)

Spells: (11)
Allure of Darkness (2)
Book of Moon (2)
Soul exchange (3)
Brain Control (1)
Heavy Storm (1)
Swords of Revealing Light (1) {thinking of MST instead}
Monster Reborn (1)

Traps: (7)
Royal Oppression (3)
Bottomless Trap Hole (2)
Mirror Force (1)
Trap Dustshoot (1)

Side Deck: (15)
3 Dimensional Fissure
1 Prohibition
2 Cold Wave
1 Giant Trunade
1 MST
2 D.D Crow
2 Karma Cut
2 Lightning Vortex
1 Plaguespreader Zombie

Extra Deck: (15)
Black Rose Dragon (1)
Colossal Fighter (1)
Stardust Dragon (2)
Red Dragon Archfiend (2)
Thought Ruler Archfiend (1)
Magical Android (1)
Goyo Guardian (1)
Dark Strike Fighter (1)
Light End Dragon (1)
Doomkaiser Dragon (1)
Psychic Lifetrancer (1)
Iron Chain Dragon (1)

Strategy:
The bases of this deck are to prevent your opponent from special summoning aka Royal Oppressions. Most people believe that one should either run 2 spies and something else or 3 spies and 1 guard, however I believe it’s easier just to run 3 spies. Why? Because it helps the user obtain spies faster allowing one to use spy's effect before oppression is set on the field as well as the fact okay I draw 2 spies well u can use that 2nd spy you drew for Allure of Darkness.

I added a few special summons not much that it would kill my deck if I were to have oppression on the field. Now some people will say what no Mobius!!! But the fact about meta decks now is that the majority of them relay on their field to take control of the game. After testing with mobius the chances that I get to destroy 2 spell/traps usually leads to a chain of a BTH or something that will destroy my Mobius leaving one open to attack. So by replacing Mobius w/ Zaborg so that I'm able to destroy monsters on the field so that they can't get the upper hand.
Example: Lightsworn rely on their field for their milling ability if one takes that away their chances of winning are very slim. Also Blackwings, they are able to swarm the field quickly if they have another blkwing on the field taking the blkwing away will decrease their swarming power as well as having oppression would most likely just kill their whole advantage.

Krebons are great for monarch decks even though so many people deny it. First it’s a great card to play in times you need to stall for a tribute and second its great to use for syncs since monarchs are 5-6 easily pulling a 7-8 syncs. And most people might think I'm crazy for not running a Cyber Dragon but the thing is that I didn't want to pass the 40 card line as well as I find Gorz ability to summon a token with it is a lot more helpful since I could use it for a monarch. However one could use CD in this deck and make it 42 and it would have no problems

Prime Material Dragon is also a very over killing card within this deck. To be able to negate/destroy summoning with RO and BTH, PMD gives you the power to protect your monsters on the field so that one continues to have field advantage. Plus the fact that if one knows how to properly pay cost for PMD effect leads to over kill as well as helping get those cards needed for Chaos Sorcerer.

The main thing about this deck is to know which monarch to use at what time. Zaborg is best for destroying monsters while Caius+Raiza is great for almost destroy the back field if u alrdy know the monster in front of u is no treat.

And the main treat to monarchs is Zombie World. Its a killer card but if played correctly you can own them even without side decking however I added Doomkaiser Dragon just incase and sided Plaguespreader and other cards to help counter ZW.

Note: extra/side deck doesn't have to be like mine... but I would suggest at least 1 Doomkasier and 1 Plaguespreader to seek revenge on those who use ZW.
Enjoy and have fun beating meta decks that cost like 300+ dollars with a deck that costs like only 40-60 dollars.

For more information on how my deck works feel happy to email me or aim me when I'm on. Cause there are a lot more things that you can do within this deck that i just couldn't put in stragety since its alrdy so long.
