Demise+Dark Gaia OTK ~ Declan

Hello! My name is Declan and I've been experimenting with the card Evil Hero - Dark Gaia for quite a while now. The card basically turns any deck you run into a OTK style deck but you have to play large amounts of Rocks/Fiends to use this very powerful card. (Well, I think its very powerfull, other people seem to think its wasted deck space.)

Anyhow, I'll type the decklist first and explain the overall aims second.

Monsters(20)

3x Demise, King of Armageddon
2x The Masked Beast
3x Valkyrion the Magna Warrior
2x Beta the Magnet Warrior
2x Gamma the Magnet Warrior
3x Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
2x Senju of the Thousand Hands
2x Sonic Bird
1x Sangan

Spells(16)

3x Trade-In
1x Heavy Storm
1x Giant Trunade
1x Advanced Ritual Art
2x Contract with the Abyss
3x Dark Calling
1x Swords of Revealing Light
3x Messenger of Peace
1x Monster Reborn

Traps(4)

1x Torrential Tribute
1x Gravity Bind
2x Threatening Roar

So the general idea is to get Demise, clear the field and Dark Calling for game.

Now to do that you need to assemble some combo pieces and you need to do it fast. I'll try to go through each card pretty quickly.

Demise: Clears the field, prepares the OTK. Can be used for Trade-In if you need to.

Masked Beast: Searchable, can be used for Trade-In, can be summoned as a last effort play, fuses to make a powerful Dark Gaia.

Valkyrion: Can be used for Trade-In, makes a powerful Dark Gaia.(From here on in DG)

Beta/Gama: Normal Rock monsters. The rocks are less searchable than the fiends, Advanced Ritual Art + these solve that problem. Obviously drawing three in the opening hand would be bad but all decks can have bad draws. Annoyed at the lack of A)Rock Ritual Monsters and B)Normal 2500+ Atk 8 star rock monsters.

Manju/Senju/Sonic: Search out he right cards at the right time. A good opening move often involves Manju/Senju searching for The Masked Beast to act as Trade-In fodder.

Sangan: Finds Manju, its like a +2 in this deck.

Trade-In: Ditches the monsters I can't summon and lets me draw cards. From the graveyard they can be Dark Called.

HS/GT: Clears the backrow to ensure a successful Demise hit.

ARA: Searches for Rock Monsters(This is needed because there are no ways of adding Valkyrion to your hand that I am aware of and no Rock Ritual monster exists IIRC). Summons Demise for little commitment of resources.

Contract: Works for both Demise and The Masked Beast in a pinch.

Monster Reborn: Just great for extra damage, another Ritual offering, whatever the opponent has handy...

Messenger of Peace/Swords: Stall in case I draw a very bad hand.

Torrential: Stall in destruction form.

Gravity Bind: More stall.

Threatening Roar: You guessed it, more stall, although this is chainable if only temporary.

Pretty simple don't you think? Its a fast paced OTK deck that could do very well if used properly. Cards that I would suggest putting in if you have the them: 2-3xAllure of Darkness+1x Senju, drop the Messengers and a Sonic Bird. Adds a little more speed to an already fast deck. Just make sure there is a powerful fiend in hand/in the graveyard for when you activate Dark Calling.

Think I'm nuts? Think I'm a genius? Doesn't matter, they all end up in the same mailbox: draconian777@hotmail.com
