Top Decks Combined - captainkirk

Here is a deck list I came up with and I will let you look at it and ponder for a bit, then I will explain why I made certain choices.

Monsters (18):
3 Banisher of the Radiance (Level 3)
3 Great Shogun Shien (Level 7)
2 Cyber Dragon (Level 5)
2 Green Gadget (Level 4)
2 Prime Material Dragon (Level 6)
2 Red Gadget (Level 4)
2 Yellow Gadget (Level 4)
1 Dark Magician of Chaos (Level 8)
1 Invader of Darkness (Level 8)

Spells (17):
3 Monster Gate
3 Reasoning
3 Shrink
2 Hammer Shot
1 Fissure
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Scapegoat
1 Smashing Ground

Traps (5):
3 Solemn Judgment
1 Mirror Force
1 Torrential Tribute

Now I am sure there are many people confused by why I am using Gadgets with Monster Gate (MG) and Reasoning. To be perfectly honest I was surprised with the thought of it as well, but if you look at how the deck can function, you will see why they are included. If MG or Reasoning hits the gadget and it is special summoned, you get another card to hand, well if you didn't have a monster for some reason, now you do. With Reasoning, your opponent's best chance of calling a level right is calling 4 because they have 33.3% of hitting that level, but otherwise it is a very low chance that they will call the level right and you should almost always get a decent monster to the field without losing much in terms of spell and trap cards.

Banisher of the Radiance in the deck, it can slow down Dark Armed Dragon Return decks, because they cannot get out their Dark Armed Dragon.

Prime Material Dragon looks like a strange choice for the deck, but it is almost one of the best cards I have ever seen. It stops burn decks, and it also stops the effects of any card that would destroy a monster(s) by discarding that extra gadget you have in your hand.

Dark Magician of Chaos is in there as a beat stick and the fact that it removes monsters it would destroy as a result of battle and does not allow them to go to the graveyard.

Invader of Darkness is such an underrated card these days. It really will only help against other gadget decks, but with it one teched in there, it gives the advantage to this deck because it stops quick play spells.

The staple for this version of the deck is Great Shogun Shien. For those of you that do not know why, it is because while face-up on the field it allows my opponent to only activate one spell or trap card per turn. It also is a nice big hitter for the deck.

Shrinks, Hammer Shots, Fissure, Smashing are all just "staple" cards for a Gadget deck and seeing as Gadgets are a big factor in this deck, I decided they would work great here as well.

Solemn Judgment is almost a staple these days if you are afraid of Dark Armed Dragon or Burn decks such as Cyber Valley Explosion or whatever it is "officially" called.

The hardest match-up for this deck is an Oppression Gadget deck, but there are three Solemn Judgments in the deck, along with Mystical Space Typhoon and also Heavy Storm. Could always make it a 41 card deck by adding in Giant Trunade.

This is by far one of the most wide array of monsters thrown together to form a deck, but yet they all function together to make an efficient build. It is like a noob came up with the deck by tossing stuff together, but really I came up with the deck by playing Samurai and Gadget and Rainbow Dark Dragon and was like, how can I combine all three to make an effective and efficient deck, and I think it worked. If someone tests this deck out (I would, but I am at college and there are no tournies by me) you should let me know how it works and if you think there are any changes that need to be made.

I would like to thank everyone again for checking out this deck and I wish you all the best of lucky with your dueling and anything else that is going on. If you would like me to review or give suggestions/fix a deck, just send me the deck list and short description of how the deck works and I will gladly respond and possibly even write an article on it.
