JUNE 2008

Fifth deck fix: All Out - lightedge

Hello, here I am, I am back with another deck fix, that has a full house of 80 cards, that is too many decktypes in one deck which is the problem, most of the time you won`t be able to get the right cards you want so if you lose control of the duel you will really have a hard time getting the control back, but let`s see, if you can fuse two decktypes that work together that can be a support to the other one tech then why not?

Anyway let`s get on with the subject the e-mail that was sent to me:

“Here's a deck that I just made and I'm hoping it is a good deck. I've only used about half of these cards in battle so I don't really know how good it actually is, but I am one of the best duelers where I live so I'm thinking it's a good deck. This deck is mostly an all around deck with defense, offense, quick play and a veriety of different types of cards. The strategy mainly is that you should stall so you can get all 5 peices of Exodia. Here's my deck:

Ok that was something, I won`t be able to list the cards that I will take out because it would take a lot of space, but the change that I will make this deck into will be a combo between two decktypes that work well together, it`s going to be a crystal beast exodia deck, why? He did say that he wants to stall, so should I just throw in level limit area B? messenger of peace? Gravity bind? But if I do that, where is the originality?  I always mention that I like twisted and original ideas, so this is going to be it, also later on the deck fix I will mention the real two reasons! now to the adding cards part, I will list all of the monsters then explain, all the spells then explain and all the traps then explain, I will start with the monsters:

Monsters x20

Crystal beast sapphire Pegasus x3

Crystal beast amber mammoth x2

Crystal beast topaz tiger x2

Crystal beast emerald tortoise x2

Crystal beast ruby carbuncle x2

Gravi-crush dragon x2

Magna-slash dragon x2

Exodia the forbidden one x1

Left arm of the forbidden one x1

Right arm of the forbidden one x1

Left leg of the forbidden one x1

Right leg of the forbidden one x1

Ok this is pretty simple right? Wait A Minute!!!! Where is amethyst cat and cobalt eagle? Well cobalt eagle flew the coop! and amethyst cat …….. well I can`t think of anything funny for it, but you won`t need them, because really why? You are not running rainbow dragon so the only useful one of the two is cobalt because if you are in a tight spot and you want to activate crystal abundance and the only sapphire is back raw. Anyway lets get to the spells:

Spells x 14

Rare value x3

Crystal tree x2

Crystal abundance x2

Crystal beacon x2

Crystal blessing x2

Crystal promise x1

Heavy storm x1

Mystical space typhoon x1

Wow looking at this makes me think why don`t I include D hero diamond dude? Anyway also simple, I added most of the crystal beast spells, and rare values for draw engine.

Traps x6

Jar of greed x3

Mirror force x1

Crystal raigiki x1

sakuretsu armor x1

jar for draw, mirror force because I think its simply the best trap, and crystal raigiki.

Alright this is it I hope I helped, wait just a sec I almost forgot the two reasons I picked crystal beasts with exodia……. Well it should be obvious by now…….. ok    1) crystal beasts are the most persistent  monsters and can`t be killed easily, 2) and more importantly if you look at the crystal beasts actually they are one of the most deck thinning decktypes so you will be able to draw exodia easily, alright imagine this basic combo activate crystal tree summon sapphire and get another sapphire back row that’s one back row and one counter use crystal promise get the sapphire and bring any crystal beast, that’s one back row and 2 counters use crystal tree bring two crystal beasts, use crystal beacon get a third sapphire and another back row use crystal abundance  and then summon three sapphire (that is if three cards went to the grave on your opponent side) how many cards are those?!?! after this if you activate rare value you are guaranteed to get a piece of exodia!.

Again this is it I hope I helped Oh another thing! I didn`t add ancient city rainbow ruins, think about it.

If you wish to contact me you can at lightedge666@hotmail.com for combos and deck fixes.
