JUNE 2008

NEW CONTEST AND CARD OF THE WEEK-Crzydrvr

Hey guys! It's been a few days since I last wrote an article (stupid

finals!) but now I'll work with this one. Seems there's been some more cheap cards and deck articles, dunno how much of that is my fault :).

Anyway, first of, I'd like to start off with a card of the week. And that card is, drumroll please bmbmbmbmbmbmbm....Mask of Darkness!:

Mask of Darkness/LV 2

Monster/Dark/Fiend/Effect: FLIP: Select 1 Trap card in your graveyard.

Add it to your hand. 4 stars/5.

Now this card is pretty underrated. I've always been a fan of underrated cards (Probably cuz I'm not too lucky at pulling rare foils, with a few notable exceptions, like Demise and its ritual EOTW). It's like the Magician of Faith, except it works on traps, has better stats, and isn't restricted. Many decks have a trap or 2 that is a big game-breaker, or a life-saver. What do you do when it's used or destroyed? This card brings one back to use again. With MoF forbidden I'd say this is a pretty good alternative to it. It's common too bonus! Say, anyone want a superrare Demise for free? (just kidding). By the way, to increase publicity and in honour of the 2008 NHL Awards I've decided to hold a contest to decide the greatest card in each category. The categories are as follows:

-Best Overall Card

-Best Picture

-Best Effect

-Most underrated

-Best card to build a deck around

-Best card from the anime

-Best Fusion

-Best Ritual

-Best clutch card

-Fan favorite

To vote, email me at evanl11@cbemail.ca. You must have one card of your choice in each category and why you picked the card (except for your favorite). The contest ends, say, July 31st. I will announce the winners in my next article after that.
