Trading Card Game Tips from fans

February 2008

yo, finally another deck fix. i thought everyone thought that i thought that they thought i was dead.

aaron wrote:

LADD has wrecked the meta but there are two things that he cannot negate. Counter traps due to spell speed and continuous effects since they cannot be chained to. Hence I developed this...

Light and Darkness Counter-Fairy

Monsters:
LADDx3
Van'Dagylonx2
Magestic Mech Goryux1
Airknight Parshathx1

Bountiful Artemisx3
Meltiel Sage of the Skyx3
Zeradias Herald of Heavenx2
Harvest Angel of Wisdomx2
Gellenduox3

Spells:
Trade-Inx2
Shrinkx2
Sanctuary in the Skyx2

Traps:
Dark Bribex3
Solemn Judgementx3
Synthetic Seraphimx2
Forced Backx1
Pulling the Rugx2
Horn of Heavenx2

I maindecked Rugs due to my local meta (Monarchs and Gadgets) and Van'D has been great as an early cheap beatstick or a win condition late. The gellenduos count as both tributes for LADD and is very difficult to take out when sanctuary is out. Synthetic Seraphim is for trib and horn of heaven fodder because it sucks having to choose between counter fairies and tribute monsters. Sanctuary is not that difficult to protect with all the counter traps flying about and the main monsters that LADD negates in the deck is Airknight's draw effect, Harvest, and goryu's destruction effect if he is one sac'ed (Cool!). I used Airknight(hence the two shrinks) and Goryu for their peircing and b/c Goryu is a lvl 8 for trade in. It is a fun deck and causes a good bit of frustration in my friends. Any comments would be appreciated!

It just seems to lack that draw power and consistency that teir 1 decks have. It can beat them but it seems just not quite often enough, I could definately use some assistance with this one b/c i am plum out of ideas :)

Best play I have had with the deck: Attack with Artemis, Saku activated (LADD negates), Mirror Force activated, chain dark bribe, Draw, gain 1000 for meltiel, destroy Marshmallon with meltiel (sanctuary), summon Van'D, destroy Raiza, GG

ok, I dont know if ladd has ruined the meta, but i'll fix your deck anyways cuz that's the kinda guy i am :flashes smile:

+2 forced back

you said the deck lacked consistency. this is one of the easiest to activate.

+3 negate attack

easy draw.

+3 magic drain

awesome for every aggro deck.

now for the removed cards.

-3 solemn judgement

this thing is replaced with more specific negation. and it costs half your lp. good ONLY in stallers.

-2 horn of heaven

just not good. pretty bad.

-1 meltiel, sage of the sky

1000 lp is not good enough to justify running three. and you only have 2 sanctuaries in the sky.

-1 dark bribe

not good enough to justify running three

and that's it. i  know that you have one extra card, but I couldnt decide which to take out. so my version'd look like this:

Monsters:
LADDx3
Van'Dagylonx2
Magestic Mech Goryux1
Airknight Parshathx1

Bountiful Artemisx3
Meltiel Sage of the Skyx2
Zeradias Herald of Heavenx2
Harvest Angel of Wisdomx2
Gellenduox3

Spells:
Trade-Inx2
Shrinkx2
Sanctuary in the Skyx2

Traps:
Dark Bribex2
Synthetic Seraphimx2
Forced Backx3
Pulling the Rugx2
magic drain x3
