Ta-Daa! My very first criticism mail!

    Pwii, after reading your last few COTD's I've been wondering how exactly you decide on how you rate your cards. After seeing last weeks ratings, in which you rated Fossil Dyna (A card which has appeared as a 3-0f in a deck that top 16'ed the US Nationals) a 1/5. While only one day later you rated Garoth a 5/5, calling it an "Automatic 3 for any lightsworn deck" while in competitive play, it is, for the most part, seen as a 1-of. Also while reading your deck fixes it seems that you lack knowledge about the current metagame and competitive decks. In your article "Chaos is back" you thought of combining DARK and Lightsworn decks to create a "Neo-Chaos", however, the deck already exists and is known as "Twilight". Along with the deck already existing, it has yet to do well at any SJC. Also, you added 2 "Return from the D.D.s" which is limited to 1. Not to mention that your decks generally lack any real structure and are simply a combination of cards that seem to fit the archetype.

    I apologize if I'm the bearer of bad news, however I felt what I said needed to be said. If you want to improve at the game, simply take the time to read about top-tier play.

Thank you for pointing these things out to me. Some of them are mistakes, such as forgetting, which I do a lot of.

 

My cards I rate I try to do my best, but I mainly play on '08 championship for the DS, so some cards that you have to experience to rate, (like maybe garoth) I might be a little off. But I do try my best at my job. When I thought of the twilight build, I thought no one had thought of it. However, by the time I finished it, someone HAD thought of it. Whoops.

I rate my cards by how I think they'd do against the top decks like DAD, and whether I can see them having potential

 

Hearing this, I will try to step up my game and make an effort to know the metagame, which I haven't been doing much of lately. Thank You.
