A Different Dude - HydroDragon

You may think that the title of this tip refers to me sending in a Rant/Tip/Crap for the first time. *Waves to TDS people*. In fact, that's some stupid wordplay. Gotcha!

Monsters - (15)

Dark Magician(3)
Destiny Hero Diamond Dude(3)
Elemental Hero Stratos(1)
Destiny Hero Dasher(2)
Destiny Hero Malicious(2)
Jinzo(2)
Dark Magician of Chaos(1)
Breaker the Magical Warrior(1)

Spells - (23)

Magical Stone Excavation(1)
Destiny Draw(3)
Reasoning(3)
Monster Gate(3)
Thousand Knives(2)
Dark Magic Attack(2)
Dark Magic Curtain(2)
Lightning Vortex(2)
Premature Burial(1)
Nobleman of Crossout(1)
Brain Control(1)
Heavy Storm(1)
Mystical Space Typhoon(1)

Traps - (2)

Mirror Force(1)
Call of the Haunted(1)

After stealing the deck idea from another duelist who will remain unnamed because I want all the credit ;), I removed the Dark Magician Knight idea he had because...I didn't like it. I also mixed around the Spell and Trap line-up a little to suit my preference. After that, it was off to my Nintendo DS to kick some online ass! And what a multitude of asses I kicked.

Obviously, this deck is focused on Dark Magician and Destiny Hero Diamond Dude. Since most of the Dark Magician support are Normal Spell cards, why not abuse them with our favourite Destiny Hero? Dark Magic Attack becomes Harpie's Feather Duster, Thousand Knives becomes an Exiled Force, and Dark Magic Curtain (Who I don't have to pay for) becomes a Reasoning and Monster Gate that's guaranteed to hit the monster I want, namely Dark Magician.

Dark Magician(3)

Well obviously...this is one of the Main Cards. What can I say? He's 2500 attack so he beats most big monsters such as Monarchs and Jinzo. And once he hits the field, his Magic Cards really devastate the opponent. Plus, most people will never call level 7 on Reasoning.

Destiny Hero Diamond Dude(3)

Another Main Card. We all know how Diamond Dude works. I think I spy 21 Normal Spell cards in this deck, so Diamond Dude usually makes a difference even if he survives only 1 turn.

Elemental Hero Stratos(1)

He searches out Diamond Dude to abuse the spells and he searches out Destiny Hero Malicious and Destiny Hero Dasher to throw into the graveyard. Plus he can clear the back row if I'm going for the kill.

Destiny Hero Dasher(1)

With 3 Dark Magicians, 2 Jinzo, and 1 Dark Magician of Chaos lurking in the deck, how could I not include him? 1 copy seemed enough.

Destiny Hero Malicious(2)

The new list leaves this card looking rather weak, but he can still work as a quick tribute.

Jinzo(2)

The deck's all about aggression. And we all know who can plough through Sakuretsu Armors, Mirror Forces, All sorts of Trap Holes and Torrential Tributes single-handedly.

Dark Magician of Chaos(1)

Well, I do have 3 Monster Gate and 3 Reasoning. When this guy hits the field, I usually win in the next 2 turns. Come on...1 Spell from the Graveyard? *Drools*

Breaker the Magical Warrior(1)

Well, who am I to argue if they decide to un-ban a +1?

Magical Stone Excavation(1)

When Diamond Dude and this spell meet up...you don't want to be there.

Destiny Draw(3)

Well, we do have 3 Diamond Dudes, 1 Dasher and 2 Malicious..I was thinking of adding another Dasher just for this card.

Reasoning(3)

Dark Magician, Jinzo and Dark Magician of Chaos. Need I say more?

Monster Gate(3)

^ See Above ^

Thousand Knives(2)

When Diamond Dude hits this, it can be either a Shield Crash or Smashing Ground. Easy way to clear those 'cannot be destroyed in battle' annoyances.

Dark Magic Attack(3)

A Heavy Storm that doesn't hurt me? I'll take 3! It can be a bad draw, but once Dark Magician hits the field and this goes off, the opponent has a hard time recovering.

Lightning Vortex(2)

For clearing the way really. I didn't want to waste space with Fissure and Smashing Ground. And it can toss a Malicious or Dasher.

Premature Burial(1)

With 6 High-Level monsters, I think this is a must.

Nobleman of Crossout(1)

Well...I wanted something to fill in for Graceful Charity. I really hate it when I clear the back row with Dark Magic Attack then go in with Dark Magician...only to hit a D.D or an Apprentice Monster. I'd run it in 2, but I don't think I have space.

Brain Control(1)

Can provide a quick tribute and can really end games in one fell swoop if used at the right time. Simply put, it pushes for damage.

Heavy Storm(1)

Automatic Inclusion here.

Mystical Space Typhoon(1)

Well, this is pretty much Automatic too. I don't want to run Dust Tornado, it's too slow for my liking.

Mirror Force(1)

In case things turn ugly.

Call of the Haunted(1)

See 'Premature Burial'.

So, there you have it. A Dark Magician deck that can work. Sure, it sometimes provides bad hands and sure, it sometimes gets unlucky with Reasoning and Monster Gate. But isn't it worth it just to see the look on the opponent's face when you attack them for game with good old Dark Magician?

Thank you for reading! I hope this has shown you that Destiny Hero Diamond Dude can be used with all sorts of cards. Some of you may be sparked into trying him with Blue Eyes White Dragon...Mega Ton Magical Cannon..Ojamas...even Des Frog! The possibilities are endless!

Good Day!
