Trading Card Game Tips from fans

October 2007

A Tip and a Quick deck (TwilightDu0)

Hey guys. Not here with a cheap deck fix today, i was actually wondering about the success rate of a combo i figured out during my Gear Golem fix. I know this has been done before by someone or another but its still interesting.

Dekoichi (3)
Bokichi (3)
Heavy mech support platform (3)
Machine duplication (3)
Any destroy/stop attacking monsters traps (6)

The combo is simple but requires a well time play to work. Set Dekoichi and some random trap and end. If your opponent does not attack or flip your Dekoichi by your next turn, summon Bokichi and play machine duplication to get two more from your deck. Then flip Dekoichi and you get to draw 4 cards.

What i like about the combo is that if you include say, two jinzo's and 3 cybers in your deck. you can use the remainder of the machine duplications to get multiple Heavymech support platforms to slap on your bigger monsters.

So ive stuck togeather a quick deck that could be used in conjuncture with this combo:

(Scrap Metal)

Monsters: 20

Jinzo (2)
Cyberdragon (3)
Reflect bounder (2)
Dekoichi (3)
Bokichi (3)
Heavy mech support platform (3)
Breaker (1)
Magician of Faith (1)
Treeborn Frog (1)
Sangan (1)

Spells: 14

Machine Duplication (3)
Enemy Control (3)
Shield Crush (2)
Heavy Storm (1)
Mysticle Space Typhoon (1)
Swords of Revealing Light (1)
Premature Burial (1)
Overload Fusion (1)
Card Destruction (1)

Traps: 6

Call of the haunted (1)
Torrential Tribute (1)
Mirror Force (1)
Sakuretsu Armor (3)

Obviously i have the combo in there witch takes up 14 spaces to implement. I have added jinzo, cybers and reflect bounders to give the heavy mechs something to attach to. Reflect is also a semi decent stall if need be. Treeborn is in there as most of my spell and trap cards and going to be used on the turn there set.

The spell are simple. With 3 machine duplications i should hit my combos quite early, the enemy controls are for stall and to make use of the 3 Bokoichis that'll be on field after the combo as well as treeborn frog. Card destruction is for 3 uses.
1) it'll get rid of some junk i pick up.
2) I can dump the frog.
3) i can dump countless machine card for the next card i have put in.

Overload fusion. with 16 machine cards in this deck and 3 of them being cyberdragons this card will see some use. If i had the space some future fusion's might help this make otk standards but that's some tweaking im not going to do.

And the traps are fairly straight forword. Protect Dekoichi or blow stuff up.

Well, i hope this help some of you out there and at there very least it gives you a reason to use you bokoichi's you have had for 2 years.

Peace out.
