Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Interesting possibilities of the Vehicroid Deck- KJMackley

Polymerization style fusion monsters are usually slammed for tournament play, because it requires a lot of set up to get what you want. And the problem is that the material monsters are rarely good on their own so if you don't have the right combination, you have a useless card. The Elemental Heroes have fantastic fusions, but their general lack of effects is what limits their playability. To make a classic fusion deck work, almost all of your cards should be a part of the fusion process. (classic fusion meaning the two material monsters, no metamorphosis, cyber stein, magical scientist, and the like)

One set I've read a little about is the vehicroids, little effect cards that are mostly looked over for not being as powerful as the Cyber Dragons or Monarchs. They really are not bad little cards on their own. Look at these cards.
Steamroid- 2300 atk when attaking and 1300 atk when being attacked.
Gyroid- Can't be destroyed by battle once per turn.
Drillroid- Destroy defense position monster it battles with. Already respected as a general purpose card.
UFOroid- 1200 atk 6 star monster that can summon a 1500 atk machine when destroyed.
Rescueroid- 1600 atk 6 star monster that can return destroyed roid monsters to your hand.
Ambulanceroid- Summons roid monsters sent from the graveyard to the hand.
Submarineroid- 800 atk 1800 def monster that can attack directly and revert to defense mode.
Decoyroid- Opponent must target decoyroid in battle.
There are some others like Cycroid, Patroid and Jetroid but they don't have any fusions yet and their effects don't really combo with the others.

Right now there are only a handful of roid fusions
Steam Gyroid- Steamroid and Gyroid- 2200 atk with no effect
Ambulance Rescueroid- Rescueroid and Ambulanceroid- 2300 atk and can summon a monster destroyed in battle back to the field.
Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill- Steamroid, Drillroid and Submarineroid- 3000 atk with trample.
UFOroid Fighter- UFOroid and any warrior type- Attack and Defense is the combined original attack of the two monsters, so the warrior monster plus 1200.

There is a new card that has been mentioned before, vehicroid connection zone. It is polymerization solely for vehicroids, and they gain the added effect of being indestructible from any card effects, and cannot have their effect stopped. One thing that it immediately does is make the fusion monster more valuable to you. Steam Gyroid suddenly becomes a 2200 atk monster that cannot be destroyed by a card effect instead of having no effect. It can still be stolen with snatch steal and other cards, but it is more valuable to you then Gyroid and Steamroid seperately. If you somehow manage to get out Jumbo Drill, then it has trample and cannot be destroyed by Sakuretsu Armor, Ring of Destruction, Smashing Ground, or Exiled Force. Here is another possibility, Limiter Removal. It doesn't say that the doubling of machines attack ends with the turn, it just destroys them. So jumbo drill now permanently becomes 6000 atk, and still cannot be destroyed by your opponents effects.

Vehicroids still go well with the cyber dragons, and you can pull off the Chimeratech superdestroyer. If you want to pull off the UFOroid fighter then you can place in some other powerful warriors, Destiny Hero- Dogma and UFOroid would create a 4600 attack monster. With limiter removal that's 9200. There is also plenty of other support like Supercharge and Wonder Garage.

It's all about the combos you can do, not simply destroying each other with one card, and the vehicroids do that well.
