Trading Card Game Tips from fans

March 2007
Rant on Injection Fairy Lily Review - Anonymous

I'm back again since I talked about Tebezu's review on Gravekeeper's Spy. This
time, I have something to say about his Injection Fairy Lily review. I'll get
right to the point...

1. "Hands down broken, the 2000 LP is meaningless compared to winning the
game."

His thought on 2000 LP is meaningless compared to winning the game is valid,
but I have thoughts againsts his claim on how the Injection Fairy Lily is
broken. He has a reason, and that's...

2. "She has an OTK that has pretty much every card unlimited..."

He lists Marauding Captain, Injection Fairy Lily and Inferno Reckless Summon
as examples and includes "etc" in the end to account for the backfield clearer
and monster clearer. We have 2 copies of the backfield clearer (Heavy Storm and
Giant Trunade) and no single card to wipe out a field of face-down and face-up
monster mix by itself. This addition of these 2 requirements makes this
makes this OTK pretty hard to pull off even with the monsters running in 3s.

3. " Why no one has taken to using it makes me wonder about the overall
intelligence of yu-gi-oh players."

From the last point, we see that the OTK requries many cards to pull off. I
want to add here that taking the opponent is guaranteed to have a monster on
the field because Inferno Reckless Summon requires it. So now, either the
opponent only runs a single copy of his or her monster or you'll need the help
of a Lightning Vortex or something, and remember, Lightning Vortex requires a
discard, making this a 6 card combo if it's used. If it isn't, then the right
time to combo off has to waited for, and there's no guarantee of that happening.

As well, there's the chance of either drawing multiple copies of Marauding
Captain, Inferno Reckless Summoning and Injection Fairy Lily. I suppose
drawing Injection Fairy Lily in multiples isn't unrecoverable and multiples
of Marauding Captain can create a easily broken lock, but multiples of
Inferno Reckless Summoning creates an immensely bad situation.

That's a lot of cards, so for anyone wondering about the overall intelligence
of Yu-gi-oh players, wonder no more. You might as well run Exodia rather than
this as it requires pretty much the same amount of cards and both are equally
susceptible to discruption.

me to their MSN or anything will promptly be blocked though.
