Trading Card Game Tips from fans

June 2007 - Playable D-Hero Deck...Other than DDT - Chris

The other day I was looking through some of my cards and decided to build a D-Hero deck, but not DDT. Lets face it. DDT is way expensive and even some good players just don’t have that kind of money. So I went looking and put this deck together. It actually plays fairly well.

Monsters 21

3 D-Hero Dasher
1 Jinzo
1 Airknight

2 D-Hero Diamond Dude
3 D-Hero Captain Tenacious
3 D-Hero Fear Monger
1 E-Hero Stratos
3 Mystic Tomato
2 Gravekeeper’s Spy
1 Exiled Force
1 Spirit Reaper

Spells 12

1 Heavy Storm
1 MST
1 Snatch Steal
1 Premature Burial
2 Reinforcement
2 Creature Swap
1 Dark City
3 Smashing

Traps 8

3 D-Shield
2 Sakuretsu Armor
1 Mirror Force
1 Ring of Destruction
1 Call of the Haunted

The idea is to really abuse Dasher’s special summon effect. Use Tomato and Spy as tribute fodder to put Dasher out. Once out Dasher will be the main attacker along with Jinzo. Airknight provides card advantage, reaper for defense, exiled for removal and it goes well as warrior support, Hero’s captain and f. monger to re-use dasher, and Stratos grabs any D-Hero u need. Note that with Dark City Dasher can KO a monarch, Diamond Dude can suicide a monarch or KO a cyber dragon, and fear monger and captain can beat most non-tributes. If dasher dies, good. You want 1 in the graveyard. Use his effect to special mainly Jinzo, Airknight, or another Dasher. If dasher dies in battle and you got captain, bring dasher back. Fear monger is another good way of re-using dasher. You can even create a semi-lock w/ all 3.

Example

You have D-Hero Dasher, Captain, and Fear monger. Captain has D-Shield. Dasher attacks and is destroyed. Opponent’s turn: They atk fear monger.
Your turn: If possible special the card you drew w/ dasher, use fear monger to bring back dasher, use captain to bring back fear monger. Now u have the original 3 and the monster specialed. And u haven’t even normal summoned yet.

One of the best parts of the deck is that dasher specials during the draw phase and captain/fear monger special during standby. So there’s no clash of timing.
Also the only real combo is captain w/ D-shield and even if u don’t pull both they’re still not dead. D-Shield also works very well w/ diamond dude and in a pinch can be used with dasher or fear monger.

See how the deck plays for you.
Tell me if you find a way to improve it.
