Trading Card Game Tips from fans

June 2007 - Shell THIS! By GeneralZorpa

Volcanic Hammerer-pretty much the same as Slicer, except bigger in every way. This guy can burn through your opponent quickly, but will more often than not be a 2400 beatstick. You will generally want your Volcanic monsters in your deck, but he can definitely turn a bad situation into a good one.

Volcanic Recharge-This will only return Volcanic monsters back to your deck, but is most important to return Scattershot and Shell as they can be brought out again fairly easily via Sangan and/or Volcanic Blaster. It only does Volcanic monsters though, so don't think it's at all as good as Pot of Avarice.

Volcanic Scattershot-to get more mileage and destruction out of a Blaze Accelerator card scattershot your way out. Using Volcanic Recharge you can wipe your opponent's field AND inflict 1000 damage to their lp up to 4 times a game! If that is not advantage I don't know what is. I was running a quasi Volcanic deck without these guys and it sucked, put them in and my opponent's were scooping on turn 3. Don't underestimate these little fireballs.

Volcanic Shell-The All Star of the volcanic Monsters. This guy + Snipe Hunter=:) It is quite that simple. There is also the combo with Card Trader, which allows you to pick and draw up to 2 cards per turn. This card IS advantage. You run this in a Volcanic deck and can seriously help out stall/burn and Exodia to no end.

Blaze Accelerator-The card that makes the Volcanic deck work. It can lead to constant monster destruction/Raigeki as well as a Dark Hole in the right situation. Don't run it in any other deck than a Volcanic one though as good Pyro type monsters with 500 or less ATK are very hard to come by.

Volcanic Rocket-The promo card for the set, it fetches either Blaze Accelerator card from your deck OR graveyard when it is Normal Summoned OR Special Summoned OR Flip Summoned. He will generally be a +1 in most situations and he kinda remonds me of a certain warrior that also fetches stuff from your deck. There is a reason Stratos is down to 1. This guy is not as versatile, but he makes sure that you have a Blaze Accelerator in your hand.

There are other Volcanic cards, namely Volcanic Doomfire, Volcanic Blaster, and Tri Blaze Accelerator, but they don't net you any advantage generally, so I would not put them into an aggro Volcanic deck.

Thanx for reading,
