Widespread Ruin vs Sakuretsu Armor

Sakuretsu Armor
Trap
Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy the attacking monster.

Widespread Ruin
Trap
You can only activate this card when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy 1 monster with the highest ATK among your opponent's Attack Position Monsters.

Sakuretsu Armor
Pro
-common so not hard to obtain

con
-
Targets

Widespread Ruin
Pro
-Does not taget

Con
-Harder to obtain than sak. armor
-kills the highest atk. monster.

basically we see widespread ruin replacing sakuretsu armor these days why? because of cyber phoenix which prevents us from targeting. sakuretsu armor is easier to obtain than widespread. the con about widespread is its hard to obtain. you can get widespread in championship pack game three or as a promo from i believe a game boy yu-gi-oh game. you can buy champion packs from your local card dealer. it is not that hard to obtain from a champion pack. the second con is it kills the highest atk. monster. it can be seen as a con, but it is also seen as a pro because it doesnt target. example: opponent has cyber dragon and don zaloog. you only have a face down widespread ruin. you have 8000 LP. opponent attacks widespread ruin kills cyber dragon and leaves don zaloog to hit you. even though it is less attack you. you lose 1500 LP but the card that you discarded was going to save you. this doesnt happen very often, but sometimes youd rather be hit with the higher attacking monster than the lower one just because of its effect. another example: you have only facedown widespread ruin. you have 2300 LP opponent has wildheart and keeper's spy. cant kill wildheart, therefore you get damage of 2300. you lose. the con of sakuretsu armor. Example: opponent has cyber phoenix and cyber end. you have face down sak armor and face down def. lets say a keeper's spy. cant use sak armor to kill cyber end.
and then so on.

so i think it is up to your choice on whether which card you would rather use. i would rather use widespread ruin than sak. armor, but really it is up to your decision. or maybe you can run both.

questions? email me rebiakaiber@gmail.com NO SPAM PLEASE! and i dont mean that meat
