Trading Card Game Tips from fans

July 2007

The Exodia Deck-RACECARbakword

Exodia lets you win the duel if you have all five pieces in his hand.
The thing is its really really hard to do.
you have to have all five pieces in your hand.
so today were going to build a deck around it.
we are not going to use exodia necross

Monsters
Besides the five pieces here are the notable monsters

Dark Mimic Lv.1-
FLIP: Draw 1 card. During your Standby Phase, by sending this face-up card to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Dark Mimic LV3" from your hand or Deck.

Basically were going to put this in for draw power. no LV3 in this deck

Dekoichi the Battle Chant Locomotive-
FLIP: Draw 1 card. If you have face-up "Bokoichi the Freightening Car" card(s) on your side of the field, draw an additional card for each of them.

Another card for draw power. not going to use its second effect.

Emissary of the Afterlife- When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, each player selects 1 Level 3 or lower Normal Monster from their Deck, and adds it to their hand after showing it to the opponent. The Decks are then shuffled.

gets the pieces of exodia to your hand faster. who cares if your opponent gets a monster too. thats why we put in some stall in this deck too. also its the strongest monster.

Sangan-
When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, select 1 monster with an ATK of 1500 or less from your Deck, show it to your opponent, and add it to your hand. Then shuffle your Deck.

Basically to get the pieces into your hand.

Spirit Reaper-This card is not destroyed as a result of battle. Destroy this card when it is targeted by the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster. If this card successfully attacks your opponent's Life Points directly, your opponent discards 1 card randomly from his/her hand.

Basically for stall. cant be destroyed by battle.

Spells
Basically all the stall cards. and the draw cards.

Upstart Goblin-Draw 1 card from your Deck. Increase your opponent's Life Points by 1000 Life Points.

We dont really care about our opponents gaining 1000 LP. who cares, thats not the point of this deck.

Magical Mallet- Add any number of cards from your hand to the Deck and shuffle it. Then draw the same number of cards you added to the Deck.

Basically if you have something that you dont need right now, then you can trade it in.

Monster Reincarnation-Discard 1 card from your hand. Add 1 Monster Card from your Graveyard to your hand.

Exodia pieces in graveyard? no problem. just get them back to your hand with reincarnation

Level Limit Area-B- All face-up Level 4 or higher monsters on the field are changed to Defense Position and remain in Defense Position as long as this card is active.

stalling is good in this deck. you have more time to pull out your exodia.

Swords of Revealing Light- Flip all face-down monsters on your opponent's side of the field face-up. This card remains face-up on the field for 3 of your opponent's turns. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot declare an attack. Flip all face-down monsters on your opponent's side of the field face-up. This card remains face-up on the field for 3 of your opponent's turns. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot declare an attack.

stall stall stall... not the bathroom stall. (i need better jokes)

Nightmare's Steelcage-
This card remains face-up on the field for 2 of your opponent's turns. No monsters can attack. Destroy this card during your opponent's 2nd End Phase after this card was activated.

More stall.

Messenger of Peace- Neither player can declare attacks with face-up monsters with an ATK of 1500 or more. Pay 100 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, destroy this card.

stalling. Who cares if you have to pay. thats not the point of the deck. and its only 100 LP.

Traps
draw cards and stall cards.

Jar of Greed- Draw 1 card from your Deck.

Since we cant use pot of greed, well use the jar.

Gravity Bind- All Level 4 or higher monsters on the field cannot attack.

Stalling.

Mask of Restrict- Neither player can Tribute any monster under any conditions.

Stall + anti-Demise/monarch/anything that uses tributes.

Backup Soldier- You can activate this card when there are 5 or more Monster Cards in your Graveyard. Select up to 3 Monster Cards with an ATK of 1500 points or less (except Effect Monster Cards) from your Graveyard and add them to your hand.

Exodia pieces in graveyard? get them back into your hand.

Strategy
Your opponents may try to destroy your exodia pieces. remember you do not get the auto win if theyre on your field. with 12 draw cards a magical mallet you could skim through your deck pretty fast. also by adding stall cards, you may just get the things you need to get exodia in your hand. also there are 4 searchers. sangan and 3 emissary. so here's the deck
