Cyberdark Monsters - Zaraze

Now I'm sure you know what I'm talking about right? No? I'm talking about

Cyberdark Horn, Cyberdark Edge, Cyberdark Keel and Cyberdark Dragon ALL from

Cyberdark Impact. Yeah now you remember. Anyways I'm sure you've dissed them

at one point unless you're like me and love them. Everybody keeps bashing

and crashing them like they're useless and perosnally I laugh at those

people. Why? Because when you play against these monsters you're gonna wish

you had never dissed them, of course I had better explain in detail...

CDIP-EN001 Cyberdark Horn

Dark/Machine/4/800/800

When this card is Normal Summoned, select 1 Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type

monster in your Graveyard and equip it to this card. This card gains ATK

equal to the equipped card's ATK. During battle between this attacking card

and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card,

inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. If this card would

be destroyed by battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead.

Super Rare/Ultimate Rare

Well that is amazing. 1st of all the stats themselves are bad but the card

isn't. Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type monsters are pretty good especially

considering you could run through a line of Masked Dragons with Twin-Headed

Behemoth at the end meaning plenty of stuff if you have numerous of these

beauties. Cyberdark Horn will generally become a 2100+ trampler when

equipped with a Dragon especially considering the prime options being Gray

Wing, Masked Dragon and Twin-Headed Behemoth. So still not impressed? Well

Limiter Removal will make this card a killer especially when equipped with

say a Twin-Headed Behemoth, that's 4600 ATK with piercing AKA trmaple

attached. Also it's searchable through UFOroid, Mystic Tomato and Sangan to

boot. And if that wasn't good enough, being DARK means when Crush Card comes

out (SJC-EN04, and SD12-JP027) it will be even more useful. Also Machines

and Dragons have good support plus DARK has fair support meaning this card

is great with other cards aswell as just an equipped monster. And it will

take 2 attacks to kill it because the equipped monster will just die

instead! This card does see play outside of Cyberdark decks, such as in

Dragon decks and a few CC decks. And if you can't find one it will be

released as a Common in the Zane Duelist Pakc (DP04-JP007).

CDIP-EN002 Cyberdark Edge

Dark/Machine/4/800/800

When this card is Normal Summoned, select 1 Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type

monster in your Graveyard and equip it to this card. This card gains ATK

equal to the equipped card's ATK. This card can attack your opponent

directly. If it attacks using this effect, the Battle Damage it inflicts to

your opponent is halved. If the card would be destroyed by battle, the

equipped monster is destroyed instead.

Super Rare/Ultimate Rare

Well the 2nd Cyberdark monster and although not as good as Cyberdark Horn,

Cyberdark Edge packs a punch. Now as I already stated with Cyberdark Horn,

the stats here mean most DARK and Machine support will work here plus it's

searchable. Now Cyberdark Edge can attack directly with half of it's ATK.

Dragon decks and Cyberdark decks can use this well and although not as

useful outside of these as Cyberdark Horn is Cyberdark Edge can quite easily

cause damage. It's reprinted in Zan'es Duelist Pack as a Common (DP04-JP008)

so it's going to be easy to get a hold of too. With all of this on mind

Cyberdark Edge with Limiter Removal and Twin-Headed Behemoth is still 2300

damage straight to your opponents LP and it has battle protection whilst a

monster is equipped. Yest again another good but under-rated card.

CDIP-EN003 Cyberdark Keel

Dark/Machine/4/800/800

When this card is Normal Summoned, select 1 Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type

monster in your Graveyard and equip it to this card. This card gains ATK

equal to the equipped card's ATK. When this card destroys an opponent's

monster by battle, inflict 300 damage to your opponent. If this card would

be destroyed by battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead.

Super Rare/Ultimate Rare

Whether it's a Super/Ultimate Rare from CDIP or Common from Zane's DP

(DP04-JP009) Cyberdark Keel is the worst of the Cyberdark monsters. I've

already mentioned the searching, support ect so down to the point, Keel can

barley hold it's own with doing nothing but an additional 300 damage per

kill. Alright like the others it is under rated but it isn't surprising.

Keel is no doubt the worst and possibly most useless card from the Cyberdark

monsters and is 1 of the worst cards from Cyberdark Impact. To be fare it

has all the support the others did minus a good effect that comes from

itself.

CDIP-EN035 Cyberdark Dragon

Dark/Machine/Fusion/8/1000/1000

"Cyberdark Horn" + "Cyberdark Edge" + "Cyberdark Keel"

This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this

monster is Special Summoned, select 1 Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard

and equip it to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the equipped card's

ATK. This card gains 100 ATK for each Monster Card in your Graveyard. If

this card would be destroyed by battle, the equipped monster is destroyed

instead.

Ultra Rare/Ultimate Rare

Feel the power of the king of the Cyberdark monsters, THE CYBERDARK DRAGON!

Although it isn't as good as Cyberdark Horn and is barley keeping up with

Edge although it does easily surpass Keel. For all it's shinyness Cyberdark

Dragon isn't worth the money. Unlike the 3 monsters that make it up, ANY

DRAGON can be equipped to this fellow and as I will explain in a second it

would work brilliantly in a Five Headed Dragon deck. Now been a Fusion

Cyberdark Dragon has many ways of summoning... well it;s limiter to just

Fusion summoning but there's Polymerization, Power Bond, Fusion Gate, Dark

Hex Sealed Fusion, Overload Fusion and Future Fusion all waiting to be

forced upon this beast. Only the last 2 are useable but ohwell. Anyways

although Cyberdark Dragon has the worst stats of probally any LV8 monster it

can quite easily reach immense ATK when equipped right. Throw a FHD onto

this baby and that's 6000 ATK! Plus Cyberdark Dragon gains 100 ATK for each

Monster in your graveyard. Not shabby for a beatstick, sure Chimeratech

surpasses it but with the deck-type it's in it's a good card. Limiter

Removal can further boost this aswell. So a great big beatstick wraps up the

Cyberdark monsters but I'm not done yet...

Well I've rambled about their pros and cons and what to do with them so to

finish it off I might aswell add a deck to end it. Basically uniting Dragons

and Cyberdark and you get this sort of deck...

(Monsters-21)

Cyberdark Horn (x3)

Cyberdark Edge (x3)

Cyberdark Keel (x2)

Gray Wing (x2)

Magician of Faith

Masked Dragon (x3)

Sangan

Troop Dragon (x3)

Twin-Headed Behemoth

White Horned Dragon (x2)

(Spells-14)

Dragon's Mirror (x2)

Future Fusion

Graceful Charity

Heavy Storm

Limiter Removal

Nobleman of Crossout

Overload Fusion (x2)

Pot of Avarice

Premature Burial

Smashing Ground (x2)

Swords of Revealing Light

(Traps-5)

Call of the Haunted

Mirror Force

Ring of Destruction

Sakeretsu Armor (x2)

(Main Deck-40)

(Fusion Deck-4)

Cyberdark Dragon (x2)

Five Headed Dragon (x2)

Basically this is the Cyberdark buld you should try. The Dragons give

Cyberdark's their power and when they're in the grave with nothing to do you

can Pot of Avarice or Dragon's Mirror them. FHD is a great card to help bash

your opponent with and if it dies Cyberdark Dragon can feed off it. White

Horn Dragon is an option for both Cyberdark Dragon should FHD not come out

and it's Fusion Material for FHD, Plus White Horn gives the deck the power

it needs. Masked Dragon can search through most of the other Dragons with

Sangan their to help the search and Magician of Faith to get back Spells.

Cyberdark monsters make up the main of the deck with the Spells and Traps

there to add control to the deck. And remember that over the year there are

some more cards coming out that should be considered for the deck including:

WC07-JP002 Bomber Dragon

Earth/Dragon//3/1000/0

When this card is destroyed by Battle and sent to the Graveyard, destroy the

monster that destroyed this card. Battle Damage to both players from a

battle involving this card becomes 0.

Video Game

A promo for the upcoming NDS game World Championship 2007 (This is later in

the year, after Spirit Caller). It is great for battle and it works for both

Cyberdark and FHD. Another card to consider would be:

SD12-JP027 Deck-Destruction Virus of Death

Normal Trap

Sacrifice one Dark main-type Monster from the Field with 1000 ATK or less to

activate this card. Destroy all Monsters on your opponent’s Field and in

their hand with ATK strengths of 1500 or more. For 3 turns following this

card’s activation, your opponent must discard any Monster they draw with an

ATK strength of 1500 or more.

Structure Deck Common

Notice something about that? Yep that's Crush Card as in

SJCS-EN004 Crush Card Virus

Normal Trap

Tribute 1 DARK monster with 1000 or less ATK. Check all monsters on your

opponent's side of the field, your opponent's hand, and all cards they draw

(until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn after this card's activation),

and destroy all monsters with 1500 or more ATK.

Shonen Jump Championship Promo

As you can see it's a Common is SD12 whihc is based around DARK monsters

(E-Mail me for the spoiler) and that means it'll be obtainable. I won't

bother posting EVERYTHING coming out over the year we already know of so I

hope what I've written has given you new insite into the Cyberdark monsters

and how to build a good deck around them
