Trading Card Game Tips from fans

December 2007
bob --pwii

Hello, this is pwii, back with another article! Today’s one is going to be about veil of darkness.
On the CotD, two pojoers reviewed a card called veil of darkness.

Veil of darkness
Continuous spell

During your draw phase, if you drew a DARK monster, you can reveal it and send it to the grave to draw one more card.

So what you ask? And my response is…EXODIA!!!! All the pieces of exodia are dark monsters, and with a bunch of monster- from-grave-2-hand cards, you just might win in one turn!!

So I present to you this:

Veiled obliteration

Monsters x25
Exodia the forbidden one
Left arm
Left leg
Right arm
Right leg
Deckochi the battlenchanted locimotive x3
Strike ninja x3
Dark mimic lv 1 x3
Dark mimic lv 3 x3
Goldd, wu-lord of dark world x3
Spirit reaper
Sangan
Emissary of the afterlife x2

Spells x13
Llab
Monster reincarnation x3
Messenger of peace x3
Veil of darkness x3
Dark factory of mass production x3

Traps x2
Wall of revealing light
Gravity bind

THE MATCHUPS

This deck would probably do well in the currant format. I have yet to test it seeing as gameking hasn’t updated sufficiently, and spirit caller is never going to be that updated. Good against control, bad against burn, good against agro for the first duel, but the second you’ll probably lose.

THE STRATEGY

Get veil of darkness out there as fast as you can. Then start burning your deck as fast as you can, getting Exodia pieces along the way until you win. Basic OTK, but a little faster.

THE CARDS

Pretty much all of them are dark monsters so veil can burn quite a few cards. Dark mimic lvs 1 & 3 and Dekoichi ensures that if you don’t have a staller out, you’re deck will still be thinning up a storm. Goldd steals the tactic first employed by the volcanic monsters = defending with high attack. reaper stalls, emissary and Sangan search, blah, blah, blah.

The rest of the cards don’t need explaining, there just the best of stall and recursion

FINIS

Still looking for Ojamas, iizduhdude@yahoo.com for anything and everything.
