Ok, Well,
Currently, I'm in Hong Kong whilst writing this,
and as all of you could expect, Yes...Dark is
popular but... Not everyone uses it, It isn't as
great as most people expect.
The only dark
monster that alot of people abuse however is
Dark Armed Dragon. See 2800 (Strongest and
Easiest summoning) out of the darks including
Dark Phoenix, Horus, Creator and Rainbow Dragon
with its VERY Evil effect - Remove 1 Dark
Monster in your graveyard to destroy one card on
the field: Magic/Trap or Monster... Basically
giving you 3 free shots... But the even better
thing about it is if you summon 3 at once...
Ridding things just got too easy. I think
everyone can see that this card will be banned
or limited so yeah... It will be in HIGH demand
when it comes out... So get yours when it comes
out!!! It's a rare in Japanese but I can't say
the same for english, judging by the way they
change rarities - Zombie Master - Rare to Super.
There are
some side effects to it - There must be exactly
3 Dark in the graveyard. No more, No Less, But
of course, it is possible to have other types.
Just exactly 3 dark =]
And if you're
wondering, Nope, you cannot Premature Burial
it...
The next
thing I want to talk about is the Monarch deck.
As everyone is probably aware, there is a Dark
Monarch. Yes, It too has a Evil Effect - When
this card is sucessfully tribute summoned, you
may remove from play a card on the field. If a
dark monster was removed by the effect of this
card, you may inflict 1000 damage to your
opponents life points. Hehe, I remember the day
it came out in the card shop, it was sold out on
the first day and from $90Hk it rose to $120 the
next...Wow, do other decks sold as well as
them...I got mine ^_^
The Monarch
deck is based around D.D... such cruel tactics.
D.D is nothing but un-originality for those
lower class people who cannot beat others and
there is no skill required. Yes, I am against
those people.
The card that
is wanted most here is probably the Dark Monarch
(By the way, All monarchs except Dark are in
common) is D D R. Basically, It is a Premature
Burial for Remove from Play cards. And the way
it is abused is when Dark Magician of Chaos is
Removed From Play, people activate D D R,
Sp.Summon DMOC and activate his effect, grabbing
another D.D.R. Non-Stop DMOC...How Cruel. The
catch about it is, the enemy has to discard
every time D D R is activated.
Monarchs
aren't strong. People only think they're strong
because of their effect and 2400 ATK, but assure
me, A warrior toolbox can beat a monarch
deck...Pure Warriors with a monster that's the
upgraded Treeborn Frog.

Dark/Warrior/3*/1200/600 - This card cannot be
tributed unless it's for a Warrior monster. When
this card is in your graveyard during your
standby and you do not control any monsters, you
can special summon this card onto your side of
the field. This effect cannot be activated if
there is a non warrior type monster in your
graveyard.
Well, Yes, By
all means abuse it. Tribute it for the Light
Monarch if you wish. No, Not Zaborg, Another
light monarch. But, This is all the time I
have... To talk about Dark Monsters, Or I'll
bore you all to death.
