Trading Card Game Tips from fans

December 2007
a tip about trading and a dino OTK. --pwii

Hi, this is pwii, with another amazing article. Today’s one will be about online trading.

First of all, don’t trade anything worth a lot of money. Because there are evil people out there; and try as they may, the people trying to keep trades safe cannot legally track the person to there home and take the card physically from them and give it to you. But this doesn’t happen constantly; so don’t be afraid of trading online. Just don’t trade anything valuable.

On a side note, I had made a dino OTK. But now that I’m going to put it on the site, the key card is banned. So I am making this deck under the assumption that the new banlist hasn’t been put into effect yet.

Monster x21
Card trooper
A cat of ill omen x3
Hyper hammerhead x3
Oxegeddon x3
Hydrogeddon x3
Sabersaurous x3
Mad sword beast x2
Tyranno infinity x3

Spell x14
Foolish burial x3
Swords of revealing light
Lightning vortex x3
Dark door x3
Ground collapse x3
Graceful charity

Traps x5
Survival instinct x3
Ring of destruction
Torrential tribute

Side deck x15
Black tyranno x2
Super tyranno conductor x2
Ultimate tyranno x2
Jurassic world x3
Nobleman of crossout
Shield crush
Big evoloution pill x3
Heavy storm

THE STRATEGY

This deck should do absolutely no attacking; instead, you should go on the def. Building up your gy until you have about enough so the number of dinos x 1000 is higher than your opponent’s lp. Then set survival instinct and ring of destruction and play tyranno infinity. Then in your opponent’s draw phase activate ring targeting tyranno and then chain survival instinct. The result is tyrannos attack going up to 8000 while you gain LP with instinct. Then ring blasts your opponent.

THE MATCHUPS

Probably good against control. Against agro, it all depends on how fast you get out the dark door, ground collapse ECT. The real weakness is against other OTKs because they wouldn’t attack as much. This’d be good against various rouge decks.

THE CARDS

All the dinos get the combo ready. Other than them, cat searches out the combo traps and trooper mills dinos to the grave.

Foolish burial helps this deck enormously by sending a dino to the grave faster than any other card in the deck. Vortex is a good card that is only in here because it can dump dinos faster. Swords is only for emergency and the dark door and ground collapse cut down on the attacking so they couldn’t swarm you, but could still attack. Graceful charity is another big help for dumping dinos as well as drawing.

Not a lot. The combo traps and torrential are the only ones here. Torrential helps dump dinos.

THE SIDE DECK

This deck can side into a dino beatdown easily by taking out the combo traps, the stall cards, ECT. and putting in more dinos to smack face.
