Cyber Phoenix analasis - Xeus

The Draw power of monsters. Most are very good but are succeptable to death from spells and traps. Most people are running card trooper. For us normal people out there card trooper is to much money. I have found the perfect substitute it may even be better than the trooper itself.

Cyber Phoenix. This card is great! When in attack mode Phoenix stops all YOUR machine monsters from being affected by TARGETING spells and traps. That alone is enough reason to run in a machine beatdown, but the other effect makes him shine. When Phoenix is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to your graveyard you get to draw a card.

I like phoenix more than trooper for some pretty good reasons. 1 his protection feature is great, forcing the opponent to basically have to kill him in battle. 2 stronger than trooper after his effect has worn off. 3 searchable by sangan and ufo turtle. 4 his protection feature works wonder in late game after you play Cyber Dragon.

I run 3 phoenix no matter what the format in my main deck. I really like this underplayed card. Hopefully this article can convince readers to think the same way.
