Subject: In all seriousness, this is my dream deck. Sad, isn't it? - DaGman

Okey dokey Artichokeys, today I, the lovable DaGman, will be building an Exodia deck! What’s that you ask? I just did that? Well yes I did, but this one is different and an idea I’ve always wanted to incorporate into Exodia. AND since I finally got the means to build such a deck, I did! Hooray for me! The idea behind this deck lies with unlimited drawing potential of:

Heart of the Underdog
Continuous Spell

During you Draw Phase, when you draw a Normal Monster Card(s), you can draw 1 more card by showing it to your opponent.

What’s so cool about that? Well if the card you draw with Heart of the Underdog is ALSO a monster card, then you get to draw AGAIN! Whoa! So that’s the deck idea. I built a deck with all but 8 normal monster cards. The rest of the deck follows an early game stall strategy: big defenders! Every non-Exodia monster in this deck has a defense of 2000 or higher. So here is the decklist:

Monsters (33):

Battle Footballer X3

Soul Tiger X3

Charcoal Impachi X3

Giant Solidier of Stone X3

Mystical Elf X3

Skull Dog Marron X3

Aqua Madoor X3

Spirit of the Harp X3

Humanoid Slime X2

Neo Aqua Madoor X2

Exodia the Forbidden One X1

Right Arm otFO X1

Right Leg otFO X1

Left Arm otFO X1

Left Leg otFO X1

Spells (4):

Heart of the Underdog X3

Level Limit Area – B X1

Traps (3):

Good Goblin Housekeeping X2

Gravity Bind X1

So that’s it! The general idea is to draw into Exodia in the first couple of turns, hopefully. The Neo Aqua Madoors add a little bonus defense if you need it, but the deck ran quickly enough in my test game that I didn’t need them. The Good Goblin Housekeepings, if activated during the draw phase, will create ANOTHER potentially game winning run of draws because the cards drawn can once again be used for Heart of the Underdog. This deck doesn’t run too many non-normal monsters for the obvious reason of; you can’t draw again if you get them! The ones I did include just advance the stall idea, Gravity Bind and Level Limit Area – B being old standbys.

Another little tidbit you should be aware of is that the Heart of the Underdog is an optional effect you have to choose to use it and it is impossible to be forced into a deckout, you just don’t HAVE to draw.

So there’s my deck, I hope you like it! Any questions, comments, concerns, or (fingers crossed) money can be sent to Gaschclan@aol.com.

Later!

-DaGman
