Subject: Under Rated Spell Cards - JK-47

Howdy to all out there in the Pojoverse. My tip today concerns some extremely underrated spell cards. Specifically, I want to talk about two rarely used equip cards, and one normal spell card that everyone has seen for a long time, but have only just recently started to use.

First, I want to look at Heart of Clear Water. The text reads:

If the equipped monster's attack is 1300 or higher, this card is automatically destroyed. The monster equipped with this card is not destroyed in battle or by the effect of a card that specifcally designates a

target. Battle Damage is calculated normally.

Now at first, the attack restriction is a little bit of a turn-off, but the benefits far outweigh the negative aspects of this card. The list of monsters that could be used with this card and that see play in the big tourneys is actually rather large. Mystic Swordsman Lvl. 2, and Marauding Captain spring to mind, in additon to any stall cards, except Reaper. But if

for some reason you have a card out there defending, this willm ake sure that as long as the attack isn't too high, it will not die in battle. My personal favourite use of this card is to use it to protect Raging Flame Sprite for the first two turns. Then her attack destroys the card, but she can hold her own.
Also, this card prevents your monsters from being destroyed by Sakuretsu Armors and Smashing Grounds, since both of those cards have a specific target. Heart of Clear Water is a great card. Moving on.

The next card I want to look at might just be the most under rated equip in the game: Gravity Axe Grarl. The text reads:

Increase the attack of a monster equipped with this card by 500 points. As long as this card remains face up on the field, monsters on your opponent's side of the field cannot change their battle positions.

Think about the potential this card has. Not only does it offer a nice little boost for your monster, but what about if your opponent had a few low

level cards stuck in attack mode when ths hit the field? Think of the damage

possible. Or even better, if your opponent had a Spirit Reaper in attack mode, the amount of abuse you could pull would be approaching criminal. This

card combos well with other cards as well. For example, if you use Earthquake right before this to turn your opponent's monsters to defence, he/she could not turn them back. Suffice to say, the Gravity Axe is a remarkable equip.

Lastly, I want to look at a card from the original Starter Decks that is now

starting to see some serious play, or at least it is in my region: Last Will. The card text reads:

If a monster of yours is sent from the field to the graveyard during the turn that you've played this card, you can select a monster with an attack of 1500 points or less from your deck and play it as a special summon.
Shuffle the deck after playing the card. This card is active for one turn only.

This card is unbelievable. The last tournament I went to, my opponent summoned Exiled Force, played two Last Will, used Exiled Force's effect and brought out an Injection Fairy Lily and another monster, I forget which, but

it might have been Don Zaloog. So, I went from having one monster and his having one monster to his having two and me having none. Then he entered his

battle phase. There are tonnes of cards that fit in under that 1500 attack restriction, a small list being the aforementioned Injection Fairy Lily and Don Zaloog, Sangan, Marauding Captain, Mystic Swordsman Lvl. 2, Mystic Tomato, any of the other searchers, (and if you happen to have a water deck)

Amphibious Burgoth MK-3, and the list goes on. Also note that there is no limit on level, so if you have a tribute with 1500 attack or less, this is one other way to bring it out.

That's it for me, thanks for reading.

JK-47.
