Subject: The Purity of Spellcasters - Skippy the Wonder Pig - Sean

I'm an avid fan of the spellcasters and have realized that, with the arrival of the new Spellcasters Judgement in a week, a lot of people are going to be copying my deck

idea (yeah, I know I'm not the only one who runs a Spellcaster deck, or the first, or the last). Still, a lot of people will take these cards and fuse them with other deck

types. I'm going to show people a way to make a decently competitive PURE spellcaster deck. There are other Staple cards out there that can be used, But remember,

the point of this deck is to have the monsters remain pure spellcaster.

Some Key cards You'll be Needing will be

Monster
1 x Dark Magician of Chaos-BAMF with spell revival
1 x Dark Magician- To utilize SDM full potential.
1 x Mobius The Frost Monarch- 241 spell trap destruction
3 x Skilled Dark Magician-Beatstick
1 x Magician of Faith-Spell revival. Easily searchable
3 x Apprentice Magician-Help stall during battle, search out OVM and MoF
2 x Old Vindictive Magician-Creature control, but beware of Noble 17 total
1 x Tsukoyomi-re-use MoF/OVM/Morph
2 x Gravekeepers Spy-Swarm ability when flipped
1 x Injection Fairy Lily-Biggest beatstick possible and searchable as well
1 x Breaker the Magical Warrior-If you don’t have one, just wait for the Spellcaster structure with the Common one.

Some people will ask "where's the Dark Magician Girl"? Well, this isn't a Dark Magician deck so I'm not running one, even though I could bring her out with Magician Circle

Effect. Like I said, the point of this deck is to remain 100% pure spellcaster. These were the best Spellcasters in my opinion. They'll do a decent job of swarming to help

bring out the DM or DMOC

Trap cards
2 x Dust Tornado-Destroy face-down S/T
2 x Magician’s Circle-be able to search about half the deck during your battle phase.
1 x Torrential Tribute-Dark hole in trap with summoning 8 total
1 x Call of the Haunted-Free Premature. Keep in mind, you sack the creature, this stays.
2 x Sakuretsu Armor-death for creature

Trap Cards were kept to a minimum to help speed the deck along and also to push in a few more spell cards for the Skilled Dark magicians effect and to speed it up.

Everything else is pretty self-explanatory.

Spell cards
1 x My Body As a Shield-survive card effects for monster destruction
2 x Smashing Ground-obvious
1 x Dark Hole-obvious
1 x Card Destruction- Hand Replenishing
1 x Heavy Storm-obvious 16 total
1 x Premature Burial-revival
1 x Reasoning- Possibly special summon, deck thinning, with Mof being able to revive any spell cards sent this way.
1 x Snatch Steal-steal an opponents and sack it for Moby
1 x Nobleman of Crossout- remove an opponents face down
1 x Book of Moon-So chainable I’m surprised it wasn’t limited earlier
1 x Mystical Space Typhoon-Destroy a face-down S/T pretty much at any point
1 x Swords of Revealing Light-Stall for potentially 3 turns.
3 x Toon Table of Contents-Free spell counters for Skilled Dark Magician to help his Big Bro get out faster. Will be replaced by Dimension Magic with the release of

Spellcasters Judgement

Toon Table of Contents, people are probably going to flame me for that one, but with 3 copies of Skilled Dark Magician in the deck, can you afford not to run a spell card

thats sole purpose is to search for a copy of it's self with no bad side effect? Just draw a SDM and this and it's like it's saying "DARK MAGICIAN COME ON DOWN!" or

Something. As I also stated, they'll be replaced anyways soon. Reasoning I threw in because when I was playing this deck, I occasionally drew a dead monster. With

Reasoning, I have a chance of keeping thinning out the deck for a possible greater monster, but at the cost of some spells and traps.

Fusion- I still keep this in case I snatch a Cyber. Just in case.
Thousand Eyes Restrict 15 total
Dragoness the wicked Knight
Dark fire Dragon
Nightmare on the Reaper
Dark Balter the Terrible
Fiend Skull Dragon
Ryu Senshi
Dark Blade the Dragon Knight
Twin-headed Thunder Dragon
The Last Warrior from Another Planet
Cyber-Twin Dragon
GATT ling Dragon
Master of Oz
Cyber-End Dragon
Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon
41 total in the deck

This deck does have it's flaws, and as mentioned before, there are better cards, but the whole strategy of this deck is to run a PURE spellcaster deck

If you have questions or comments, or even suggestions, while keeping in mind that this is a pure spellcaster deck, email Sean at sean.white@lmco.com
