CCG Tip. "Fenrir an underrated water support card" by BurningAlgae

First so you know what I'm talking about Fenrir is a level 4 1400/1200 Beast/Water monster with this text:
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 2 WATER monsters in your Graveyard. When this card destroys an opponent's monster as a result of battle, your opponent skips their next Draw Phase.
It is a pretty good monster but it is often overlooked in favour of Aqua Spirit which requires one less removal, has a better attack and has the useful effect of changing the posiion of one of your opponens monsters during their standby phase.

Its first effect gives a chaos style free special summon for anyone running a Water deck if they can get two water monsters in their graveyard. This is pretty easy in most WATER decks because you normally use Mother Grizzly, Yomi Ship, Penguin soldier, poison draw frog, etc. which you will either suicide or allow your opponent to destroy. So you're very likely going to have at least two Water monsters in your graveyard by your second turn which you are unlikely to want to revive so removing them from the graveyard wont cost you very much (unless you want to use salvage).

This free summon can be used to give you extra field presence by using it to help swarm the field and then boosting it with ALO, Nightmare Penguin or Star Boy. Or by special summoning it then sacrificing it for something like Mobius or Suijin reducing their cost and allowing you to surprise your opponent by bringing out a tribute monster on a previously empty field.

Now we come to its second effect. "When this card destroys an opponent's monster as a result of battle, your opponent skips their next Draw Phase" this is very similar to the hideously abused Yata-Garusu but the importat difference is that it must destroy a monster each turn so you cannot normally establish a lock. There are a few combinations with this (e.g. Ojama Trio) but they are very situational and your best bet is probably to ignore them and just use this effect when the oppurtunity arises.

As it only has 1400 attack normally it will only be able to destroy small tech monsters but if your playing A legendary Ocean in your deck (as you will be in most decks with this card) or the less popular but still useful Star Boy and Nightmare Penguin you can boost it to a much more respectable 1600, 1800, 1900, 2100, or even more with freakishly unlikely combinations (such as 3x Star Boy, Nightmare penguin and ALO making it 3300ATK).

Even with 1600 attack it can take out most level 4 or lower monsters.
Even a single missed draw phase can hurt your opponent as there are so few powerful drawing cards left in the game and when you are in a position to use it you'll probably be in a position to win. Also if they have a monster with less then 1600 attack or defence in their hand they'll have to make a choice between life point loss and losing a card and a draw phase. Also no matter it's attack Fenrir makes anyone using Scapegoat cry as it would mean a 4 turn lock which would win you the game if you had one or more Amphibious Bugroth Mk-3 (1500 direct attack with ALO on the field) and ALO on the field (unlikely but possible in an ALO deck) or you can use it to build up your reources for four turns by giving them nothing to do in each turn.
Although Scapegoat is limited almost everyone uses it so there is a reasonable chance of you having the oppurtunity to do this.

Also as a level 4 WATER monster in an ALO deck it will reduce to level
3 and so fit with the common level limit and gravity bind theme for ALO decks.

So if you're running any sort of water deck I'd suggest you give this card a try as an alternative to Aqua Spirit if nothing else you can use it as free tribute bait and it can be very useful in the right situations. Whether to use this or Aqua Spirit really depends on the metagame in your area, Aqua Spirit is best against aggro decks while fenrir is better against control decks.
