Subject: Use your own deck style- BJ Griffin

Hello,

My name is BJ Griffin. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and have no relation to Peter Griffin. I play many card games and the one that I play the most is Yu-Gi-Oh. On Saturday Dec. 17th I went to a local card shop and entered in a tournament. I entered a net deck. (A deck copied from the internet, mostly from Pojo) There were about 12 people including me and I entered the tournament. I played and won the first three rounds and then we entered the top 8 (I don’t know why we played top 8 instead of 4). Then I played and eventually won the tournament. I thought I would be happy but I figured that I wasn’t because there wasn’t to many competitive players, so the next week I entered again ( I know, it was on Christmas eve) and after beating the pants off the 6 little kids. Then I realized that I won because I used a tournament winning deck while the little kids where using decks such as E-heros and Dark Magician.

Then that night, when I was looking at the cards that I had won from the twenty dollars store credit, and it hit me. I won from the stupid net deck! I then felt really bad because a bunch of the kids there I had played that play 100 card decks from the TV show and I beat them. I just plan out beat them. So after I felt really bad. I am going this week and have made a great original deck that I am going to play on New Years Eve.

So the moral of this story just like other stories, play your own deck. Don’t put hundreds of dollars into decks that are going to win tournaments but instead look through your commons and try to create combos using your favorite cards. Try creating a deck like Chaz Princeton from Yu-Gi-Oh GX. Make an Armed Dragon deck or even make a Alexis or Bastin style deck. Note: I made a Syrus deck, the “roid” deck’s work rather well.

If you want to email me do it at fire_phoenix5589@yahoo.com

Family Guy is funny but don’t relate me to them

BJ Griffin
