Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Subject: Tin Sets - bigking - Paul Dozier

This set introduces some fanfavorites, such as Dark Magician Girl, and some of Joey's trump cards including Panther Warrior and Rocket Warrior. Now, shall we begin?

1) Exarion Universe - Beast-Warrior/Effect Level 4 ATK/1800 DEF/1900
You can only activate this effect during a Battle Step of your turn. Decrease the ATK of this card by 400 points, then during battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. This effect continues until the End Phase of the turn this effect is activated.

This card is fairly good because of it's trample effect. The 1800 attack points is only 100 points lower that Airknight, only with out the tribute. The drawback of playing this over Airknight is the lack of the draw. With the ban list, many players are in need of an extra draw. I would play Airknight myself, but you might try him out for originality

2) Dark Magician Girl - Spellcaster/Effect Level 4 ATK/2000 DEF/1700
Increase the ATK of this card by 300 for each "Dark Magician" or "Magician of Black Chaos" in either player's Graveyard.

This is one on the all time fan-favorite cards. This card has an alternate art that was recently only avaible in Japan, but now in the US we get the full body shot of the Magician Girl. This card is alright in a spellcaster deck. You just want to make sure you have a few Dark Magicians or Magician of Black Chaos in your graveyard first. You should not throw this in your regular deck just because you think the picture is cool or you like the card.

3) Gilford The Lightning - Warrior/Effect Level 8 ATK/2800 DEF/1400
If you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 3 monsters, destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field.

Here is one of Joey's cards. Let's face it, this guy looks AWESOME, but his effect isn't that great. First off, it's way too situational. how many times are you really going to have three spare monsters on your side of the field? Another thing, 2800 attack isn't too good for an 8 star monster. I would rather spend two monsters for a Blue Eyes. Also there is the chance of a Bottomless, A regular Trap Hole, a torrential and many other things.

4) Panther Warrior - Beast-Warrior/Effect Level 4 ATK/2000 DEF/1600
The card cannot attack unless you tribute 1 monster on your side of the field.

Here is another one of Joey's cards. This card made it into many video games, but we've never had the real thing until now. This card's effect is way too costly. That's it. Why waste one of you monsters so this thing can attack when the monster you tributed could have very well attacked itself. the only combo I can really think of, is using Scapegoats but you're still wasting some defense.

5) Rocket Warrior - Warrior/Effect Level 4 ATK/1500 DEF/1300
This effect is only active during the Battle Phase of your turn. Battle Damage to this card and this card's controller that they take from a battle involving this card becomes 0. After damage calculation, decrease the ATK of the monster that was attacked by this card by 500 points until the end of this turn.

Yet again, another one of Joey's cards. This card's effect is, ehh. The only wasy you can get his effect is if he dies. That's why the owner doesn't take damage. If he attacks a weaker monster, he doesn't get his effect. If he attacks a stronger monster, he dies but the monster's attack is lowered by 500 until the end of turn. This means the little guy can sacrafice himself to turn Jinzo or Mobius into a 1900 attacker, which is rammable with Vorse Raider, Mad Dog, and Archfiend, just to name a few.

6) Vorse Raider - Beast-Warrior Level 4 ATK/1900 DEF/1200

Since he has no effect, I will paste a picture of him beneath this article. We saved the best for last. In my opnion, this is the best card in the tin set. He is a solid beatstick with 1900 attack and no tributes. Plus, he looks wicked. Anyone running a Beatdown Deck should run at least two of these with some other beatdown cards. To name a few, Cyber Dragon, Mad Dog of Darkness, and Archfiend Soldier.
