Subject: A new deck type - Steven Hsieh

Yugioh is a great game and all, and I spend a whole bunch of time on it, thats the basics, so the story starts off I was trying my spellcaster deck that may be a copycat version of Dark Maltos or Dark Paladins, and all a sudden I got a crazy idea, a Lock Down Deck. I started to think torwards the direction winning was everything so I decided to build a fool proof deck. First I thought of the gravekeeper cards. They are extraordinarily good candidates for this kind of deck. After a couple tests, it proved that the deck wasn't much of a lock down. Then I looked at the cards Eagle Eye, Invasion of Flames, and Creeping Doom Manta. Im not sure, but I think they lock down traps for the entire game. So I started to think along the guidelines of protecting my creatures from the initial Spell and Effect monsters. The obvious choice I first looked at was skill Drain, if the card isn't the cookie cutter's pillsbury dough boy then nothing is. The card failed miserably, traps and Mantas don't mix. After a while, I looked torwards Deathjester's Dojo for some ideas. The burn/stall caught my eye. After reading the article, I finally came up with the right mixes for a killer deck. Here is the deck list. ( Note that I haven't made a side deck ) :/ This deck is in the later to be released April or March Format.

Monsters

Mystic Sowrdsman Lv7 x2

Horus the Black Flame Dragon x 2

Eagle Eye x2

Creeping Doom Manta x3

Invasion of Flames x2

Magician of Faith x1

Maurduring Captain x2

Dream Clown x2

Breaker the Magical Warrior

Sowrds of Revealing Light

Mightmare's Steel Cage

Wave Motion Cannon

Mystic Space Typhoon

Kaiser Coloseum x3

Messenger of Peace

Magic Absorbtion

Lightning Vortex

Smashing Ground x3

Lv Modulation x3

Card Destruction x3

Heavy Storm

Stumbling

Dark Door

Dragged Down into the Grave

Basicly the Idea of this deck is to keep everything stuck in your opponents hand. I dont care if he's holding 20 cards in his hand, he's still stuck with kasier preventing summoning of any sort, the mantas, eagle, or invasion, from using traps. He's stuck using Magic. Unfortunately Mystic Sowrdsman and Horus would like to oblidge, so they are either stuck with speed spell's, and the only one that could acutally pull of anything is Mystic Space Typoon, which is still very hard to draw even in a 40 card deck. How hard is it to play if you already have traps and monsters locked out at the very start of the five turns of the duel? I tried again and again, results are the same. Even if mystic was pulled off, it would still face major opposition, from either a combo of Dream clown with marduring Captain, or sort. Unless that guy I'm playing is lucky to pull of Exodia two times within two duels, I have a chewy tuwwey deck here. As I have seen from Pojo, don't just use it, abuse it!

So thats my deck analysis for a "Lock Down Deck" I need to copyright this.
