Subject: A new Side-deck-Anteaus

Hey, all you pojoers out there! Welcome to another rousing installment of Anteaus' [insert cool name here]

Anyway, today we're going to be talking about a new Side-deck: Burn.

Burn is regarded as a dead deck. Why? Because everyone is side-decking against it, which in my opinion is stupid because now no one is running Burn anymore. But instead of side-decking against Burn, why not side-deck a Burn deck?

Let's take a look at what a side-deck Burn looks like:

2x Lava Golem

2x Level Limit-Area B

3x Stealth Bird

2x Wave-Motion Cannon

2x Gravity Bind/Messenger of Peace

2x Des Koala/Any other Burn-type Monster, Magic or Trap

2x Just Desserts/Any other Burn-type card that you like

Now, all these cards are obvious, but here's the thing: Burn decks tend to win the first duel of a Match because the opponent doesn't know/can't deal with the Burn threat. That's why Side-decks today are filled with Des Wombat, Barrel Behind the Door, Solemn Judgment, and whatever else they can get their greedy little hands on. So, after side-decking in a whole bunch of anti-burn cards, the opponent easily wins duels 2 and 3. But what if you could change your entire deck by adding in 15 cards?

For one thing, your opponent wouldn't be expecting it. Watch as you lose duel 1, only to win duel 2 with your burn deck, then side-out your Burn deck for your deck as your opponent side-decks their deck for anti-burn. Now, you're Chaos/Soul Control/Strike Ninja/whatever deck is now facing a deck packed with Des Wombat, Barrel Behind the Door, and other fun anti-burn cards that do absolutely nothing to stop your onslaught of Monsters. It's a fun thing to watch.

So, just a little tid-bit on Side-decks, because we all know Burn is fun!

Cheers,

Anteaus
