Trading Card Game Tips from fans

From: Chaos mech
Subject: Ultimate Cold Combo: What finally solves the Jinzo/Mobius debate -- Chaosmech

Now I know there is a slight debate as to whether Jinzo or Mobius is better.

Mobius lends you advantage by destroying the traps, whereas Jinzo merely prevents them from activating. While Jinzo can be a temporary fix, Mobius is

permanent. On the other hand, Jinzo's effect lasts as long as it's face-up, protecting you from traps as long as it survives, which is longer, given that traps are negated. Mobius' effect can be chained to; Jinzo's cannot. So

chainable goodies like Waboku, Trap Hole, Torrential, Bottomless, Compulsory, Forced Back, etc. render Moby's effect useless, meaning you just

wasted one tribute monster.
But fear not.
There is a card that can make your Mobius impervious to destruction. One that makes your opponent shiver when they see it, and not just because of its name.
That card is
Cold Wave
Normal Spell
You can only activate this card at the beginning of your Main Phase 1.
Neither you nor your opponent can set or activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of your opponent's next turn.

If you don't see the potential, I'll have to slap you.
It's called Cold Combo for a reason. You play Cold Wave at the beginning of your turn. Barring negation (which most people don't play), your Cold Wave will prevent S/T's from being activated. Or set.
So, activate. Then, tribute your Frog or flip for Mobius. He no longer has to fear Torrential, Bottomless, Trap Hole, or chainables. Those face-downs must remain face-down, and your Monarch is safe. Not only that, but he is safe from Spell retribution such as Smashing Ground next turn, and your opponent can't set protective traps, leaving them as perfect targets for a Thestalos follow-up. By protecting your monsters, you're eliminating the downside of the Monarch Control deck: vulnerability to removal and loss of field presence. All they've got next turn to defend themselves is monsters.
The only one that can immediately get back at your monarch is Exiled Force, and then they're out of field presence too, with no Traps to back them up.
Nothing can kill it in battle, and if they set a monster, it's prime bait for Nobleman or Exiled during YOUR next turn, and you can get two turns of trap-free protection for ONE card.
Try it: you'll like it.
Keep it cool,
Chaosmech
