Here are two more stories.
(Sorry if the details are kind of fuzzy) I have a
story for you. I was at a regional tournament in
Twin Falls and I was watching a duel between the
first and second chair players... so this didnt
actually happen to me but any way the 2nd seed
player had a powerful, high level monster on the
field and he attacked with about 2000 lifepoints
left and lowered the 1st seeds points to under 1000.
The 1st seed had a level 7 monster, and 2 Chaos
Sorcerers in his hand with only light monsters in
the graveyard... anywho he top decked a graceful
charity, played it drew some useless magic card and
2 dark monsters, discarded the dark monsters,
removed 2 lights and 2 darks, summoned 2 Chaos
Sorcerers, removed the monster from play and
attacked for game. Pretty amazing huh...

Okay, this happened last Saturday at a tournament. I
was using a
warrior deck against this kid's, um, 'shiny deck' (I
don't know if anybody notices, but some of the kids
at these tournaments decks are just a conglomeration
of shiny cards they lumped together, leading to
sometimes an easy draw >:( ) The duel had started
out well, because I managed to get out a D.D.
Warrior lady and a Mataza with a lightning blade
attached. Unfortunately, this kid had a lot of
Draining shields, so he blocked 2 attacks and gained
a huge chunk of lifepoints, all the while getting
out a Hours Lv4. I thought "Horus? Damn, I used to
use that thing!" But on my next turn, after getting
out a Marauding Captain, I got completely blown
apart with a Mirror Force, and to make it worse,
when I got a Dark Blade face-down, he killed it, and
achieved Hours Lv6. Then he played COTH and tributed
a Hours Lv4 to summon Jinzo. After he attacked I
felt totally screwed, and all I had in my hand was a
Gearfried the Iron Knight and a Fusion Sword
Murasame blade.
I drew and, OMFG it was Release Restraint!!! I
summoned GTIK,
played RR, and summoned Gearfried the swordsmaster!!!
After I destroyed Jinzo with Gearfried's effect, I
killed Horus! But then
he played Polymerization and summoned Cyber End
dragon! That whole f***in' time he was gathering
Cyber dragons! It killed Gearfried, and I was about
to give up, when I drew a Graceful charity, and drew
Mystic swordsman Lv2, Swords of concealing light,
and Axe of dispair. I knew my opponent saw my face
when I drew my Mystic swordsman combo, because I was
frickin' happy! I played Swords, summoned Mystic
swords. Lv2, and destroyed his now-facedown Cyber
End dragon! I got out Mystic swords. Lv4, and on his
turn he played a facedown monster. I killed it and
got out Mystic swords. Lv6 for the first time ever!
And to top it off, I returned it to the top of their
deck, and next turn I summoned Blade knight, and
after a few more turns I won! Sorry this was so
long, but I never get that lucky in a duel. Ever.
