Trap Mastery (My Deck) - axgamad

After just losing at a local tournament (its 2 PM here), I decided to mail in the deck I'm using.

So:

1* Dark Driceratops
2* Gigantes
2* The Rock Spirit
1* Insect Knight
1* Gemini Elf
1* Berserk Gorilla
1* D.D Assailant
1* Enraged Battle Ox
2* Elemental Hero Wildheart
3* Cybernetic Ciclopean
2* Giant Rat
1* D.D. Crazy beast
1* Sangan
1* Mask of Darkness
1* Morphing Jar #2
1* Banisher of Light

1* Fissure
1* Gaia Power
1* Graceful Charity
2* Hammer Shot
1* Heavy Storm
1* Mystical Space Typhoon
1* Nobleman of Crossout

1* Blast with Chin
1* Bottomless Trap Hole
1* Call of the Haunted
1* Dust Tornado
1* Mirror Force
3* Needle Ceiling
1* Ordeal of a Traveler
2* Robbin' Goblin
1* Seven Tools of the Bandit
1* Trap Hole
1* Torriental Tribute

Here it is. My 44 card deck as it looks at this very moment. I have not seen this other than my own, so its something that might be new to you.
Now on to card explanations.

E-Hero Wildheart is probably the most important monster of the deck. It can trip Torriental Tribute and Needle Cealing and survive and attack without the fear of Sakoretsu Armor and Mirror Force.

Cybernetic Cyclopean is the main beater of the deck. It has an ATK of 1400 (searchable by Sngan and Giant Rat) and a simple effect increasing its ATK by 1000 when there are no cards in your hand. That makes it strong enough to take out Chaos Sorcerer and Cyber Dragon and can suicide int Monarchs or Jinzo.

D.D. Crazy Beast removes from play monsters it destroys instead sending it to the Graveyard which is great against Sangan, Giant Germ and searchers, and helps against chaos. Banisher of Light is here fo the same purpose.

I put in Morphing Jar #2 instead of the banned Cyber Jar. Instead of summoning for myself, it replaces all opponent's monsters, but with as little as 2 monsters it can take out a lot of the opponent's deck.

Gaia Ppower gives a decent attack boost to the monstersl, turning Wildheart, Rat and Carzy Beast int decent attackers, Gemini Elf, Insect Knight and Gigantes into 2400 ATK killers and Thr Rock Spirit into a 2500 barrier.

Blast with Chain gibes us also a nice ATK boost, but even better is the destruction effect (against Mobius and with/against Heavy Storm). I used to run 2, but after running into some Jinzos i switched
1 out for a Fissure.

Ordeal of a Traveler is one of the best defens card in my opinion, continously returning opponent's attacking monsters to hand (don't forget to Summon/Set the card your opponent saw).

Robbin' Goblin is 1 of my favorite traps since I got one. It is tricky to make it work, but when it does it is as good as a win.

And now for my favorite traps, and very underrated, Needle Cealing. This card desroys all face-up monsters if there are 4 or more monsters on the field. If used properly it can be a Torriental Tribute without destroying your own monstes (as they are face-down). Think about it. You opponent turns Cyber Dragon, Chaos Sorcerer and Kycoo he summoned this turn on your face-down knowing Mirrior Force and Torriental Tribute are bot in the Graveyard - BAM! all gone.

About the tournament I mentioned before, I lost both (I had 2 losses and 1 win) matches to monarchs.
It was 1:1 in both matches and I was leading the final duel until Zaborg and Mobius appeared. So I remembered an old LON card. Mask of Restrict was an ultra rare in LON, but I think it vas reprinted as a common in DB1. It prevents any tributing, that way it stops monarchs, at least long enought for Robbin' Goblins to take them out. I don't have one, so I tried something with Prohibition (didn't work). Try that out if you are gettin beaten by Monarchs.

Note that this deck isn't finished jet. It needs another Wildheart and Gaia Power, maybe a Mask of Restrict. So if you get somewhere nice with this or an improwed version of this deck, contact me at axgamad@net.hr.
