Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Subject: Super Strident Blaze - Neo King of Games

Well, I'm back with another new deck. For those of you who are curious...I've kind of given up on my "Searing Silence" deck. It doesn't work as well as I'd hoped it would. It's mainly because the deck is bound to fail if Greed isn't available. Oh well.

Anyway...on to the deck. This time, I've got a very special treat for you all: a Cyber Dragon deck! However, this deck uses all the kinds of Cyber Dragon. It also has Cyber-Steins for the OTK fans out there. Anyway...here's the cards we have.

Monsters

Cyber Dragon

Well DUH! It's a Cyber Dragon deck! How's it gonna be a Cyber Dragon deck without Cyber Dragons? Obviously, run three.

Proto-Cyber Dragon

The Cyber Dragon fusions and special summon monsters are important to the deck. So, the more "Cyber Dragons", the better. Run three, of course.

Cyber Laser Dragon and Cyber Barrier Dragon

It's a devoted Cyber Dragon deck. These two monsters may not be considered very playable, but to keep to the theme, we have two of each.

Cyber-Stein

If your Cyber Dragons should fail you, you're gonna need Cyber-Steins for the OTK. Use three, of course.

Heavy Mech Support Platform

Uh...I never really got what was so great about these. Sure, it can be useful if used properly (protect your monsters when you play Limiter Removal) but still...you shouldn't need to protect your monsters when you play Limiter Removal because you should be finishing the opponent off then and there. I have a similar opinion about Yata-Garasu. I realize how it can be a good card, but it just doesn't appeal to me at all. Still...two are helpful here.

Shining Angel and Mystic Tomato

You need to realize that this isn't specifically a Machine deck, but a Cyber Dragon deck. I know they don't fit the theme...but they have some uses here. I feel so ashamed...I complained about how people use cards that don't fit...and now I'm using cards that don't fit the deck! Don't worry; next time, I'm not gonna falter. Anyway...use one of each.

Sangan

There are some less powerful monsters you want to get quickly. So, Sangan helps.

Magician of Faith

You have some spells you need to be able to get back. So run two of these.

Spells

Power Bond

You need three of these to fuse for the Cyber Dragon fusions. It can be a little risky, so make sure you can finish your opponent off with it.

Limiter Removal

If this card weren't restricted to one, Machine decks would conquer every other deck. Oh well. Obviously, run the one you're allowed.

Megamorph

You're gonna take a lot of damage from your own cards (Cyber-Stein and Power Bond) so run three of these to boost the power of your monsters.

Inferno Reckless Summon

This is an awesome card to use. Special summon your Proto-Cyber and use this to call out three Cyber Dragons. I don't know whether you can summon another Proto-Cyber with this too or not. Unfortunately, we only have room for one.

Mystik Wok

As mentioned with Megamorph, you'll be taking a lot of damage. So this is here to help get LP back. Especially good after Limiter Removal, since you'll lose the monster anyway. Also try it when you Power Bond Cyber End Dragon. When it's all over, you'll gain 4000 Life Points. Use two.

Photon Generator Unit

Well, how else do you expect to summon Cyber Laser? Run two. Enough said.

Graceful Charity

What deck couldn't benefit from this card? Run the one you're allowed.

Premature Burial

You're gonna find you'll have a lot of cards in the graveyard. This is a good way to special summon Proto-Cyber as well.

Traps

Attack Reflector Unit

(See Photon Generator Unit; replace "Laser" with "Barrier".)

Mirror Force

(See Graceful Charity.)

Call of the Haunted

(See Premature Burial; hm...the traps are all there for similar reasons as other spells.)

Solemn Judgment

The all-purpose negation card. You'll be losing a lot of life points anyway. Run two.

Fusion Deck

Cyber End Dragon and Cyber Twin Dragon

Being a Cyber Dragon deck, this obviously needs three of each of these. Or at least one of each.

Okay, now we have the deck. And now...the deck list!

Super Strident Blaze

Monsters

Cyber Dragon x3

Cyber Laser Dragon x2

Cyber Barrier Dragon x2

Proto-Cyber Dragon x3

Cyber-Stein x3

Heavy Mech Support Platform x2

Shining Angel

Mystic Tomato

Sangan

Magician of Faith x2

Spells

Power Bond x3

Limiter Removal

Megamorph x3

Inferno Reckless Summon

Mystik Wok x2

Photon Generator Unit x2

Graceful Charity

Premature Burial

Traps

Attack Reflector Unit x2

Mirror Force

Call of the Haunted

Solemn Judgment x2

Fusion Deck

Cyber End Dragon x3

Cyber Twin Dragon x3

The first and most noticeable combo is the one involving Proto-Cyber and IFS. Special summon Proto-Cyber and use IFS to summon three Cybers and then do whatever you need to do with them.

The next combo is one involving Limiter Removal and Mystik Wok. After you've made use of your Limitered monsters, use Wok to offer 'em and get a good amount of LP.

The decks weaknesses...obviously decks that run attack-stopping traps. Which is just about every deck. Which is why you want to go for the win when the opponent has no traps.

As for strengths...well, just about any deck as long as you're lucky enough to get in a hit with Cyber End when the don't have face-downs.

Well, there it is, my version of a Cyber Dragon deck. Any questions, comments, deck themes, and the like can be sent to GUYOBRAINS@aol.com.

By the way...this article seems rushed because it is. I didn't have a lot of time for this one.
