Thoughts on The Lost Millennium - CoolexplosionDen

All in all, this is a really bad set. The “Godly” Brain Control is probably on the most overrated cards made. I know that’s an overstatement, but after playing with it in my deck it’s pretty bad (yes cookie-cutter). 800 Life Points for a bad Snatch Steal. It’s good for tribute bait and god in Soul Control decks but otherwise it’s very overrated and I probably won’t run one. I already traded mine for 2 D.D. Assailants.

The other cards in the set are pretty bad. The Megarock Dragon has some potential and I have seen it used really well but no one will run it competitively. There are some good cards in there that won’t be discovered like Millennium Scorpion which has potential. Use it with Wicked Breaking Flamberge-Baou.
You’ll gain the ATK points back anyway so it doesn’t matter,

Anyway onto my second part of the article:

Something a few weeks ago really opened up my eyes to how competitive some decks could be. It was the 4th Round of a regional tournament. I was 3-0. I was facing someone I didn’t know and I thought he played cookie-cutter. He didn’ t, he played a Dark Paladin deck and I had a hard time. I had to play some mind games to finally win the match. I was so amazed at the match a few days ago I made a Dark Paladin deck. It’s actually pretty good. Lost to a lucky topdeck but otherwise it’s winning. So I am telling everyone, try some new decks. Especially Dark Paladin. If you make a good one of those it could win. It’s one of those types that has a ton of support but nobody even cares to look.
