I got a new one for everyone...Anteaus

Hey everyone. If anyone has been paying attention to anything I've been writing, then you'll be wondering why I haven't written. Well, it's good to be back, to say the least, but the reason why...well, I haven't had anything to really write about. Until now.

This week, I'm writing about something that no one has dared to question: the validity of a Level 3- Ownage deck. This deck revolves heavily on a) BLS-EotB destruction, b) field/hand control, c) powering up weakling monsters to deal devastating damage, and d) stallage. All four points are covered in the upcoming decklist, whether it be in the maindeck or sidedeck. But right now I'm going to talk about the four points of a good Level 3- Ownage deck, starting with BLS-Eotb destruction.

This starts out with the simplest devices of all: whether it be Tribe, D.D.
Warrior Lady (I know that they're level 4, but they are not intended to attack), Level Limit-Area B, Gravity Bind...the list goes on and on. The whole thing about BLS is that it absolutely KILLS this deck. I don't mean bludgeons it unconscious; no, no, it blows a hole in this deck's stomach with a shotgun. BLS is the biggest threat, besides maybe Fairy Meteor Crush. But that's another story.

The second point of this deck is, obviously, hand/field control. This is achieved through a number of things, mainly destruction cards and/or monster control cards e.g. Creature Swap, Snatch Steal, etc. The latter is mainly used when no LL-AB's/Gravity Binds are on the field, so control of a big monster is crucial. These cards will give you a distinct advantage over your opponent because they'll be stuck with an unpowered Mataza while you're slicing away with a Jinzo or something like that.

Thirdly, powerups. This deck does not rely on much--United we Stand and Mage Power--but through it's hand/field control is where it gets it's overwhelming capability. The entire point of this deck is to clear the field (as is with any other deck, I suppose) and destroy them by nibbling away at their life points. This is done through Guardian Sphinx, a highly underrated card from PGD.
Most people know what I'm talking about, but yeah...

And lastly, stallage. Through all your stall cards you will be able to secure victory in two ways: a) you stopped your opponent from getting a foothold on your LP, and b) you stopped your opponent from gaining hand/field advantage.

Yes, several of these catagories overlap, but that is the point; every card can go in a variety of catagories: Goblin Attack Force, for instance.
Attack/Defense. See, you can overpower your opponent by attacking, or you can summon him and use him as a shield, effectively making him a) Powerup and b) Stallage.
Cool, huh?

So anyway, the ultimate level 3- Ownage deck:

Anteaus
