Anteaus! Spiderman, Altereality, and Yu-Gi-Oh ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: ObnoxiousCelt@aol.com Date: Thu, 31 Mar 2005 11:31:59 EST Anteaus! You have angered me and I have come to teach you not to do that or you will be proved wrong. Now let's look at Spiderman compared to Yu-Gi-Oh with just two quotes! And yes I know Pook did a similiar article but he was right. "With great powers come great responsibilities." Very true in today's game of Yu-Gi-Oh. WIthe all the cards, us seasoned players are obviously superior to our new bretheren in every shape form and way. It is up to us as the masters to... guide them... into greatness. Yes I know it is long and frustrating, but it is our job. As we have the power we must use it to show them how to grow into a true duelist. "This is why only a fool chooses the path of the hero. Because you never know when some maniac is going to come along with a sadistic choice for you to make." ANother true quote for todays game. A fool does choose the path of the hero, but it pays off. What am I talking about? I'm talking about the person who in a card shop helps the kids buy the cards they need instead of the more expensive ones they don't need. And unfortunutly the maniac *cough* Jason of Altereality in Elyria Ohio*cough* always gets involved. Let me explain to you an example. There I am in this card shop in Elyria Ohio called Altereality. Its on Cleveland street. Anyway, it is run by this guy named Jason. Right from the start I knew he was a complete *insert various insults and curses here* But he owned the store so I had to obey him. Baka. Well Jason did not like me. Why? Because I helped the little kids by showing them the cards they need, which were usually cheaper then the VASTLY OVERPRICED ones they were going to get. So he made a rule where we couldnt approach the counter to help kids or guide them into a trade. Well that didn't stop the kids. They just walked away from the counter to me and asked for help! And I did my part as the hero and guided them into the good stuff and away from the HORRIBLY OVERPRICED stuff. Jason did not like this. Enter the sadistic choice. Do I continue helping the people and risk getting banned, or do I not help them and let them get ripped off? Well here's my choice! This kid opens a pack of OVERLY PRICED Dark Begining cards and doesnt get anything good and he seems really bummed out by it. So I decide to be nice and trade him a common exodia piece he needs for his tip card. Well he takes the offer. Jason kicks me out for this! He kicks me out for trading for a TIP CARD! A TIP CARD! Can you believe that?! Shows what kind of place the Elyria Altereality on Cleveland Street is. Lesson I learned from that though, if your going to be a hero, you got be discreet. Oh and by the way, if you are in Ohio, avoid the Elyria Altereality like it has the plague! His packs are over priced. Jason is a *insert insults here* And the place smells horrible, though the duelists are nice, especially Eric. However there are a bunch of thiefs there to. I lost a misprint HFD and a 1st edition LOB Exodia piece to theft. WOuldnt be surprised if it was Jason who was stealing. I do suggest the Westlake Altereality though. Very nice place though a little small. "We are who we choose to be! Now make your choice Spiderman! And see how a hero is rewarded." Again this quote is true in the game. We are who we choose to be. We can be nice to everyone and help them and be a good guy. Or we can be a Jason, a complete prick who OVER CHARGES and kicks anyone out who tries to HELP the kids! As for how we're rewarded, well it various. As in the Altereality case, I got banned and screwed over. However by being the hero kids have given me cards for free for helping them, in a case I got a LOB Flame Swordsman for completely revamping a kids deck (who ironically beat me in the finals). I know Flame Swordsman sucks, but its the thought that counts. On the other hand, be a jerk and nobody will duel you or trade and you'll generally be avoided So make your choice. Antem out animorphs17@hotmail.com Oh and as a last note. It's the Alterality in elyria Ohio. Right off the corner of route 57 and cleveland street. OVER PRICED, SMELLS, CHOCK FULL OF THIEVES, AND JASON IS A *insert insult here*
