Underlooked PGD traps - aokces ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: wang pan Date: Tue, 29 Mar 2005 18:22:01 -0800 (PST) Both of these traps are common, and chances are you'll have a copy somewhere in your pile of "sub-par" cards. Try it out, especially if you're playing burn/stall. Needle Ceiling: normal trap- destorys all face-up monsters on the field if there are four or more monster on the field (inclues your opponents) What a great card for stall/burn... If you're using stealth bird, des lacoda, or any other card that remains face up, needle ceiling is incredibly effective against attackers, especially when they swarm. When the first banlist came out this was the next best thing after mirror force, and unlike mirror force, is chainable. In the current metagame the only mass removal m/t are torrential tribute and after genocide (another underrated card that), so needle ceiling often comes as a surprise to opponents. Bottomless Shifting Sand: permanent trap- destorys the face-up monster(s) with the hightest attack on the field during the opponent's end phase. However, you'll need at least five cards in your hand during your standby phase to keep this trap on the field. Granted, you probably won't have five cards on the field, but a one-for-one trade off is never bad, and the highest attacker? sweet... This is a great counter to lava golem, beatdown swarms, and solar flare dragon duos/trios, but it also works wonders in stall/burn decks that don't use lava golem, because they can often maintain a large hand (especially if you're running des lacoda). aokces@yahoo.com (only constructive comments please)
