- From: free willy Date: Sun, 27 Mar 2005 12:08:19 -0800 (PST) Konami has been having really bad problems with the Yugioh Trading Card Game. I am going to take you, the reader back in time and foward into the future to disciss these problems. In the beginning, Yugioh was a really different card game that resembled Magic the Gathering and Pokemon. I wasn't quite intrested in the game until I saw a couple of friends playing it at school. They gave me a deck and taught me how to play. The way the game worked was like magic. It wasn't to complicated, Like Magic, and it wasn't too simple and easy, like Pokemon. The fact that the game was simple enough to learn and deep enough to master made this game going on for years. There wasn't a day that wouldn't go by with out Yugioh. Soon after Pharoh's Servant came out, me and many other people thought the game was dying. During these months I became better aqainted with Magic. We thought for sure that the game was going to die out just like Pokemon. Suddenly the game came right back into action. Something happened, Konami got a little smarter and released a new set that began to make the game even more deep. This set made the game even more fun to play because this had even deeper monsters. No more normal 1800 monsters here. We got Kykoo and Bazoo to deal with. We got spirits so no longer ending the turn when a monster got sadly trap holed. We also got the best equip cards in the game even today. United we Stand and Mage power. I loved the way these cards looked. So beautiful. The game came back booming. After that 9 more boosters came out real quickly. Then I stopped again for 2 reasons. The game was horribly unbalanced and Chaos control mad me really angry. Then the Ban list came. What a beautiful ban list it was. No raigeki, mirror force, harpie's, and Chaos Emperor Dragon. After that many deck types reigned. Now beatdown was no longer the strongest. It could be easily beaten with discard or control or warriors or my personal favorite, elment decks. Water Fire and Earth/warrior. Now it's soon to be april 2005 and i want to share my concerns and changes with the ban list. What should be banned/ restricted Banned: Monsters BLS Envoy: It speaks for itself Sinister Serpent: No more free discards Jowgen the Spirtalist: No quick win with wall of revealing light and last turn Tribe Infecting Virus: Kills entire deck types Jinzo: too powerful for a trap killer. Should be more like a 1400 atk for 1 tribute spirit reaper: I hate infinte walls Morphing Jar: So what if its rare its just way to powerful Magics Lighting Vortex: I really think this is too powerful Pot of Greed: Some people will complain but you should have a drawing strategy instead.( Like Card of Safe Return with Fox Fire) Delinqent Duo: This devastates opponents in the opening hand Traps Deck Devastation Virus: Its wrong to make a single card that destroys entire decks. There goes Exodia and burn decks. Ring of Destruction: Free destroy on anything plus inflict damage to player Royal Decree: Free Jinzo. Oh no Last turn: I think this card shouldn't exist at all Restricted to 2 monsters Beserk Gorilla: Earth Beatdown is powerful enough with Go Go Goblin Gangsters( Goblin Attack Force) Exiled Force: Its not THAT good. besides, You used to be able to have 3 DDWLs Breaker the Magical Warrior: We already have a MT removal shortage. Give us a break. (no pun intended) Magics Premature burial: Go ahead and pay 800, besides, its bad for topdecking. Book of life: Zombies are too powerful Call of the Mummy: Zombies are way too powerful Mystical Space Typhoon: we need some MT removal Traps Magic jammer: I hate it Cumpolsory Evacuation Device: Its like trap hole but way more annoying well thats my thoughts about yugioh and what should be banned and restricted. All coments are accepted at or you could AIM me at . Farewell __________________________________
