Amidst the rampant M/T Control happening in the Yu-Gi-Oh! metagame, one must
take into accout the myriad of ways to counter said M/T Control. The easiest
and simplest way is stalling, or stallage. Stalling in order to pull of a combo
or get the fangled Black Luster Soldier out is crucial, and there are several
key cards that do just that:

1) Waboku--this card is perhaps the best Trap Card in the game. Waboku combines
a couple of key features: stallage and chainability. The usual argument against
Waboku is that it is too slow; well, let's look at that. What can it chain to?
ANYTHING. Fiber Jar? Waboku. CED (traditional players, listen up)?
Waboku. It is the only card that guarantees protection from your opponent's
monsters (except for Jinzo, obviously), and at no cost except for the setting
of the card.

2) Scapegoat--this card can be both offensive and defensive, but for this article
we will focus only on the defensive. This card is another card that can chain to
anything (but Spell Canceller), including Jinzo. Also, it gives you 4 free monsters
with which to combo that United We Stand or Cannon Soldier. This card is solid. Also,
it's a quick-play, so you can activate it during your battle phase.

3) Compulsory Evacuation Device--this is another good card, with the ability to not
only provide some stallage but to also hinder your opponent. By returning a monster
to your opponent's hand, that 2000 ATK Blade Knight suddenly becomes a 1600. Also,
it clogs your opponent's hand and rendering their Monster Card Zones virtually open.

The rest of the M/T stallage cards I left out, and for obvious reason. Mirror Force,
Level Limit-Area B, things like that, are just too well known to really talk about.
But the cards listed above are cards that can easily be Tier 1 cards, and several are;
but my main concern is the lack of Waboku in duelist's decks, because that card is
perhaps the best card in the game.

Just something to think about.
