Sean's take on originality ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: seanslcars@comcast.net Date: Fri, 18 Mar 2005 23:43:09 +0000 Sean’s back!! WARNING: I’m not going to mince language here. This will not be one of my tips that’s full of lots of little intricacies. I’m going to be direct and to the point, and I’m not going to speak kindly of those on the other side of the argument. If you don’t like that, stop reading this article now. The issue I keep hearing about is originality. Cookie-Cutter decks. People saying anyone who uses any sort of mainstream deck is pathetic and not a true duelist. I’m here to tell you to shut the hell up. Originality can be fun. I have several decks that aren’t mainstream. I use these decks in fun duels, but when I go to a tournament, I use my chaos deck, and I make no apologies for that. I am SICK of hearing, "everyone uses chaos, you suck for using it, etc." Guess what? I almost always beat these critics. Now, I designed and built my chaos deck myself. I didn’t copy off of others. The game is about having fun. It’s about taking your favorite cards and making them work. Furthermore, no deck is invincible. OTK comes close, but even they weren’t invincible. Chaos has plenty of weaknesses. All decks do. So all those of you out there harping on decks simply because they follow a theme that is popular, go shove it. How I play the game is none of your business. You people out there who keep screaming, "Be original! Don’t use any deck that anyone else uses or you don’t belong in the game", I got a message for you. YOU’RE the ones who don’t belong in the game. The game is about having fun, and you’re just trying to ruin it for people that are looking to do just that-just have some fun. So get over yourselves and get your head out of your @$$. Comments? Questions? My email is seanslcars@comcast.net and my AIM screenname is NazGul0010. I’m not one of those people that says "No hatemail please". I love reading that stuff. Until next time-SetoKaibafan13
