Deckbuilding tips

This is my first post, but please, don't hurt me.
These are the secrets of deckbuilding as far as I know:

1. Have 40 cards only (not including side deck), maybe a few extra

2. Have a theme, for a better card flow. Examples would be a gravekeepers deck, a chaos deck, a beatdown deck, and attribute decks.

3. Have the staple cards in your deck: Premature burial, pot of greed, call of the haunted, heavy storm, giant trunade, etc.

4. Find ways in which your cards can work together, like Spirit Barrier, a Monster, and Absolute end.

5. If you do use a 40 card deck, have about 17 - 20 monster cards, keeping tributes to a minimum, unless you have an alternate way of summoning them.

6. For monsters, have 1- 3 tributes with no alternate summning. Stron level 5
- 6 are good ones

7. For the non-tributes, it all depends on your strategy. Most commonly, people put 1700+ attack tributes, with some monsters like Mothr Grizzly, giant rat, and shining angel.

8. There should be more spells than traps, because spells are faster than traps

9. You should carry defensive traps like mirror force, sakuretsu armor, and wboku.

10. Protect your cards from magic/trap cards with magic/trap jammer, seven tools of the bandit, dust tornado, mystical space typhoon, etc.

11. Use some destruction cards like offerings to the doomed, trap hole, and bottomless trap hole

12. There are an infinite number of good strategies in Yu-gi-oh, so some of these secrets may not work for you. The most important secret is: Make a deck your own way
