Dark Magician Slaughter - Makkura no Zennousha For most of you preparing to read this, do not, I repeat, do -not- flame me saying "It's too situational" or "It doesn't have DDWL and all this other Cookie-cutter deck contents." I am more keen on creativity and effect. Continuing on, the strategy is quite simple, although it would work best with a Dark Magician/Spellcaster orientated deck. Contents are simple (and fairly basic for a Spellcaster deck). Let's run through the cards and state their use in the combo, AND to show they can be involved in the deck without having to be with the combo. First card, Dark Magician. I'd advise you to ONLY pack this in a Spellcaster/Dark Magician Deck, because it direly needs the support, and is otherwise not worthy to throw into a deck. Double Coston is definitely a good method in order to summon him, although you can ditch via Painful Choice, Graceful Charity (for those running Traditional, etc), etc, and revive. Sage's Stone with DMG is yet another way to summon one of these from your hand or deck. The next card is Fairy Meteor Crush/Big Bang Shot. This is really just general preference. Big Bang Shot will deal more overall, but if your opponent counters with a simple MST or Dust Tornado, say good-bye to the monster (namely in this combo, Dark Magician). Big Bang (even if not used in the Combo) is still effective due to the 500 grant [NOTE: The boost is 400], and the trample ability. Don't have all the necessary cards of the strategy? Equip it to that Injection Fairy Lily of yours and run it into that face down Spirit Reaper/Sinister Serpent. Or maybe let your Magical Scientist summon TER, assimilate that Jinzo of his, equip it with the Big Bang Shot, and let his monsters have it (and people say Magical Scientist summons can't really deal damage). Diffusion Wave Motion. This card isn't altogether necessary to run in a Spellcaster deck, but I've used it to full potential numerous times with my own, and it has rarely ever failed me. Strategy can't be pulled off? Don't have a Level 7 or higher spellcaster? Discard it for that Tribe Infecting Virus, or that Raigeki Break maybe. It'll work for any discarding effect, so unleash it if you don't have many options left. Finally, the card that makes this combo all the more lethal. Curse of Anubis. Without the strategy, it can also spare you for a short period of time. Have two Berzerk Gorilla's and a Breaker staring you down? They'll go into defense (the Gorilla's go ) and give you one additional turn to save yourself. Now, the combo and how it works. Dark Magician (now residing on the field by whatever method) is equipped with Fairy Meteor Crush/Big Bang Shot, and your opponent has some fairly nasty monsters in attack position (and maybe some in defense). If necessary, Dark Magic Attack his s/t cards, and that'll rid yourself of a few threats. Generally, 90-100% of a standard deck is nothing but effect monsters, so crank over that Curse of Anubis you have face down, and let his monsters whimper as they go into defense (and have their values hit 0). Now, flip over Diffusion Wave Motion, and let your Dark Magician trample the field. Generally this strategy will dish out 2500-15000 damage. Didn't win with it? Oh well, maybe you've cleared a Fiber Jar who just lost its ability. Again, this isn't "unrealistic and situational" because I've pulled this -entire- strategy out a few times. Following up, YES you may use Dark Magician of Chaos, but your timing must be perfect (Can't have DMoC on the field before you activate Curse of Anubis, or he himself will go into defense). Again, do not send me unnecessary E-mails about cookie-cutter this and cookie-cutter that, I've already heard every nameable negative thing spouted at me for this strategy. Also remember that it does NOT need Curse of Anubis, it just increases the amount of damage, almost guaranteeing victory.
