Master of Oz - Raikoo ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: SilverCross2020@aol.com Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2005 11:00:09 EDT Hello hello, I'm back with my 3rd little article type thing. First and foremost, let me apologize, I didn't actually use the Common Exodia deck at the tournament I went to. I tend to have trouble sticking with one deck for any length of time. Now when you think of 'playable fusions', what comes to mind? Dark Paladin? Thousand-Eyes Restrict? XYZ-Dragon Cannon? King Dragun? Fusionist? Well it's certainly a matter of opinion, they're all good fusions with good effects after all. My personal favorite fusion, aside B. Skull Dragon, is Master of Oz. This card is one that I'm suprprised the good people at Pojo haven't reviewed yet so allow me to anyliz it for those that don't know this rather interesting card. Master of Oz 9-star Earth Fusion/Beast [Des Kangaroo + Big Koala] ATK/4200 DEF/3700 Normal Rare/Ultimate Rare SOD-EN035 It's a beatstick and then some with stats that shadow even Gate Guardian, makeing it the strongest monster in the English game stat wise. (Base stats, not effect boosters like Dark Paladin or Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon) Now I know many people frown upon fusions due to bad hand management and judge a fusion often times by what pieces make it up. In this case you've got a 4-star with a decent effect, and a 7-star no effect with 2700/atk. And some of those people will immediately see the no-effect 7-star and declare that MoO is a bad fusion. of coarse that's why we have fusion substitute monsters, namely King of the Swamp and The Earth-Hex Sealed Fusion in this case. And for anyone dareing enough to play a Moisture Creature deck, you can use Metamorphisis to bring out the big beast. Also in a beast deck, this allready sick monster becomes just plain wrong with an Enraged Battle Ox on the feild. As my deck proved at the tournament, a 4200/atk with trample just should not be allowed especially when so many people ran Spirit Reapers, Magician of Faith, ect. Something I still can't get over is the fact that Konami made the strongest monster (stat-wise) in the english game a normal rare and it's only draw back? It's a fusion. Now for a 4200 beast, is that really such a draw back? I've found that no, it isn't. My Master of Oz deck got me 2nd place at the tournament and I encourage more people out there to try out fusion decks. Questions? Comments?
