Hey Sean’s back with a new round of articles. Hope you enjoy them, and don’t
forget to check out www.seanzhomepage.freeservers.com and go to the first
custom page for my yugioh stuff.
Checking out the power of the Red Eyes Black Dragon. For a long time, Red
Eyes was a useless piece of cardboard with seriously cool artwork on it. OK
as trade bait, but otherwise a piece of garbage. We had an early, ridiculously
lame attempt to improve it with Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon, but Red Eyes was
relegated to the sidelines. Then Soul of the Duelist was released, and Red
Eyes became a contender. Let’s take a look at the cards essential to a Red
 Eyes Deck.
Red Eyes Black Dragon: Duh. I know it’s obvious. Red Eyes is the key to a Red
Eyes deck (I want an award for the most obvious, least necessary statement
ever made on pojo for that one.) 2400 ATK, 7-star, DARK dragon obviously is poor
without support. So let’s move on shall we?
Red Eyes Black Chick: No, it isn’t Beyonce with weird contacts. This monster
is how you summon Red Eyes most of the time. Just summon it, then tribute it
instantly for Red Eyes. Since it’s a special summon, it’s basically a free summoning
of the mighty dragon. Also, REBC can be brought out by mystic tomato, furthering
it’s flexibility.
Inferno Fire Blast: The second deadly Red Eyes support card to come out of Soul of
the Duelist. Dealing 2400 damage is pretty powerful. Over a quarter of your
opponent’s life points disappear in one stroke. Ouch.
Lord of D: Actually, the main purpose of this card is NOT to combo with Flute of
Summoning Dragon. This guy will protect your dragon from the majority of evil
things out there, such as snatch steal and ring of destruction. Keeping Red Eyes
alive is vital, and that’s Lord of D’s main job.
Here’s my idea on a Red Eyes deck:

Red Eyes can fight. His teeth are back. However, I think he’s best as a casual deck.
He’s just not quite powerful enough to win most tournaments.
